There is plenty of overworld content to tackle in Palworld, with unique world bosses such as Mammorest roaming the land, begging an aspiring player to toss a Giga Sphere its way. But did you know there's an entire set of dungeons in the game that delve deep into the dirt? These mineshafts often feature a winding tunnel, total darkness, and a boss at the end, and some loot. Here is where to find and beat Elizabee in Palworld!
Where to Find Elizabee in Palworld
To find Elizabee in Palworld, venture north to Mount Flopie, where you'll stumble upon Devout's Mineshaft along the river down the hill from where the map marks her boss battle. Her precise coordinates are 35, 186. Her mineshaft is approximately halfway between Mount Flopie Summit and Lake Center.
The critical thing to remember about tracking down Elizabee is that the map shows her position as if it were in the overworld. But she's not. She's deep underground in a mineshaft, but if you follow the winding path into the cave, you'll wind up approximately where the map marker appears.
The actual point of entry is here:
As you clamber down the side of the cliff face leading toward the eastern river, you'll note a handful of Pals hanging around outside and some junk items that add a bit of flavor to the entrance.
You don't have to fight the Pals outside; they'll typically run away in fright. You will, however, have to battle the darkness within the mineshaft itself. It's pitch black, and without a torch or lantern, you might have trouble navigating through the winding tunnel. Alternatively, turn up your brightness a smidge and follow the floor, which has a lighter texture than the walls.
How to Beat Elizabee in Palworld
Elizabee is a tough fight unless you come prepared. It's dark inside the boss arena, and she doesn't fight fairly. Elizabee is shoulder-to-shoulder with a few Beegarde, though they're lower level than her, making them fodder. You'll want to focus fire on the mobs first before turning your attention to the boss, though. Once you're ready to tackle Elizabee, watch out for her various attacks, including:
- Giga Sphere: A blast of energy that deals explosive damage in an area-of-effect zone.
- Grass Tornado: A Grass-type tornado that slows the player and deals damage. It's easy to avoid, though!
- Honey: A sticky pool of honey that won't attract Pooh but will trap you.
- Poison Blast: A poison-damage attack that deals ongoing heavy damage.
- Wind Cutter: A gust of wind that deals severe damage.
During the battle, I found she typically tossed out Wind Cutter and Grass Tornado more so than any of her other special abilities. The latter is easy to maneuver around and avoid, allowing you to land a hit or two with a high-power weapon. But Wind Cutter is quick. You must time your dodge precisely; otherwise, you risk taking severe damage. A single hit eliminated my shield.
To defeat Elizabee, you'll want to bring along a Fire-type Pal. I had Vanwyrm in my party, and his attacks were super effective. So effective, unfortunately, that I was unable to capture Elizabee before she fell. Opt for Metal Armor, Metal Helm, Giga Shield, and a fast-firing weapon, like the Handgun or Assault Rifle. I went in with the Musket, and while each hit dealt plenty of damage, it was too slow to keep up the pressure, and I had to rely on my Pals for support.
One of the best tips I can offer you when dealing with Elizabee, alongside bringing a Fire-type Pal, is to wait until nighttime. Most players tend to sleep through the night, but Elizabee and her Beegarde do, too. If you attack at night, she's fast asleep, and you can land the first strike, deal massive damage, and take the lead in the battle.
If you come prepared and at an appropriate level (I went in at level 29 and came out level 31), then you'll find Elizabee is a fair yet challenging opponent but one you can take down without too much cheese involved!
