Collecting Pals in Palworld is one of the most important components of the game. These helpful creatures can complete tasks for you at your base, or they can accompany you in battle and dish out heavy amounts of damage.
Another way to grow your collection of Pals is to Hatch eggs, providing you with various Pals after a short incubation period. Understanding how to hatch eggs in Palworld is simple, although there are a few best practices to remember.

Place an Egg in an Incubator
The first thing you’ll need to hatch an Egg is an Incubator. You’ll unlock the recipe for an Incubator at level seven in the Technology menu. However, an Ancient Technology Point is required, meaning you won’t unlock this option until you defeat your first boss, whether that be an Alpha Pal or a tower boss.
Once you unlock the Incubator, you can place any egg you find inside. Once the egg is inserted, a message will show how long before the egg hatches and how it feels in its current environment. You can speed up the process by understanding the various conditions.
Keep the Egg comfortable
Your egg can become too hot or cold depending on the type of egg you’re hatching. These conditions depend on the type of egg in the Incubator, as certain types of Pals prefer different climates. For example, Dark Eggs prefer colder temperatures, so placing your Incubator outside is the best way to prevent them from becoming hot.
Normal eggs can be hatched indoors, as they prefer to not be too cold. The best solution is to craft two Incubators to hatch multiple eggs simultaneously in the proper conditions.
Types of Eggs in Palworld
There are currently nine different types of eggs you can hatch in Palworld:
- Common Egg
- Damp Egg
- Dark Egg
- Dragon Egg
- Electric Egg
- Frozen Egg
- Rocky Egg
- Scorching Egg

All eggs hatch from the Incubator, and the different eggs correspond with various types of Pals. For example, Electric Eggs hatch Electric Pals, Scorching Eggs hatch fire-based Pals, and so on.
