How to Get Wheat and Wheat Seeds in Palworld

There are a few ways to get wheat and wheat seeds in Palworld, but some methods are easier than others.

Wheat is essential for some higher end foods in Palworld, but players might have some trouble finding it in the wild unless they know where to look. Luckily, it isn't too hard to get once you know the location and methods to obtaining it.

Grown from wheat seeds, wheat is an ingredient used for flour, which can then be turned into cake, which is used to breed Pals. Wheat seeds are also essential to make some of the things that your base will need, such as the Wheat Plantation, which allows players to farm the wheat on a more consistent basis, without having to get it manually.

If you're looking for a lot of wheat or are just starting out and need to know where to find it, below are all of the ways to find wheat seeds in Palworld.

There are three main ways to find wheat seeds in Palworld. The easiest and most accessible in the early game is to farm up some coins and pay the Merchant. The Wandering Merchant can be found randomly around the map, but there are also some static merchants in the game. One of those merchants is at a small settlement not too far from the starting point. This merchant is marked in the red box below. The wheat seeds cost 100 coins per seed. Coins can be gained by selling Pals to Pal Merchants, finding them in chests, or selling items to Merchants.

If you don't want to purchase the seeds with coins or you don't have enough, there are other ways to obtain them. The first is defeating or capturing a Pal that drops the seeds. The easiest one to find is the Dinossum, but starting at level 15, the high level of the Pal might make getting wheat seeds difficult earlier in the game.

Here are all of the Pals that drop wheat seeds:

  • Dinossom
  • Flopie
  • Bristla
  • Cinnamoth
  • Robinquill

Lastly, you can find some wheat seeds by opening various chests around the world. It's random what drops from the chests, but they do respawn after a while, so marking the chests on the map and then returning to them every once in a while might yeild you the seed you need to get your wheat farm going.

Once you've got three wheat seeds and you have a technology level high enough to unlock the Wheat Plantation, you can build it in your base, which should start generating more wheat seeds so you don't have to manually collect them. You can then use the wheat to make bread, which is a higher quality food that can be fed to your character or your Pals.
