Fanbyte FFXIV & Destiny 2 Discord News Webhooks Now Available

Get the latest FFXIV and Destiny news sent straight to your Discord server!

The team here at Fanbyte knows just how many of you spend a ton of your free time on Discord. Whether it's a close group of friends playing and chatting about FFXIV or a fireteam hub for your Destiny 2 raid group, more and more folks are spending time on Discord. Maybe it's even a larger server that functions as a knowledge base to help you learn about GPosing or just finding strangers to play with.

Either way, we count ourselves among your numbers. We're in countless FFXIV Discord servers where we get updates from various Final Fantasy XIV bots that automatically send the latest Lodestone posts, Twitter posts, or even Island Sanctuary updates.

But one thing we noticed was missing from the equation was a higher amount of detail. Sure, the FFXIV bot will give me a heads up about the special site being updated or that a live letter has been announced. But it doesn't really tell you what you should actually know about these things. On top of that it also floods your messages with a bunch of stuff you probably don't care about like the endless "actions taken against RMT" posts.

So we put together our own Discord webhook that will automatically share all of our FFXIV or Destiny 2 news headlines with you. While Lodestone only did a post announcing the Letter from the Producer and the special site update, we pushed out all of the following:

  • A complete live letter recap.
  • Info on the KFC and FFXIV partnership.
  • Details on the upcoming server infrastructure changes.
  • All mounts and minions that were revealed.
  • An image roundup of all the new Patch 6.5 gear previews.
  • Specifics on the major Crystalline Conflict changes.

While it's nice to get all of the official information, it doesn't actually help keep you up to date unless you take the time to read or watch everything for yourself.

If you want to see it in action, head on over to our Discord server where we've installed both.

For Destiny, the situation is a little different given the sheer number of bots and webhooks. But we offer that too! Add it to your server and you can get specifics from patches like how the reprised Crota's End raid never had a third hidden chest or reactions from the community on Bungie choosing to delete Legendary Shards.
