Trick-or-treating may just be a childhood memory for many of us, but for Destiny 2 players, it is still an exciting time of the year with the Festival of the Lost activity. The 2023 Halloween-themed event features the usual Haunted Lost Sector, but brings a new Legend version and introduces a new Engram for you to collect and exchange for weapons and Exotic armor pieces. Here comes the Eerie Engram.
Players can collect Eerie Engrams after completing Haunted Sectors. Although they have a set chance of being dropped after completion, Legend Haunted Sectors will have a higher chance of dropping Eerie Engrams while also posing a harder challenge for Guardians.
Bungie explained that Eerie Engrams can be used in two ways. You can just crack them open for a random treat, which includes Exotic armor pieces and even Festival of the Lost weapons. Alternatively, you can visit Eva Levante to acquire specific armor parts or weapons by Hocus Focusing, a way focus gear during Festival of the Lost. This will cost you an Eerie Engram and Candy, which is a Festival-specific currency. These are some of the prices Bungie shared in the TWID.
- Exotic armor piece (arms, legs, helmet, or chest):
- 1 Eerie Engram
- 2500 Candy
- Randomized Festival weapon:
- 1 Eerie Engram
- 2500 Candy
- Specific Festival weapon:
- 1 Eerie Engram
- 1000 Candy
Regarding the armor pieces pool, they will feature Exotic armor pieces from previous Destiny 2 expansions: Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen. Keep in mind, players need to own these expansions to get their corresponding armor pieces. Still, this is a great opportunity for Guardians to collect any armor pieces they missed by using Hocus Focusing. You can check the latest TWID for the complete Exotic armor piece list.
