Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer is here and it’s time to elevate your fashion game. Along with new weapons, a 6 player activity, armor, story missions, and season pass, the heavily requested armor transmogrification feature is finally arriving. In this season, players will team up with the Fallen Captain Mithrax to stop the Vex from plunging Earth into total darkness. Of course, the most powerful items you can obtain are exotics and Season of the Splicer is introducing a few more for you to hunt down. While one is extremely easy to get, others will require some work to actually unlock.
(Author’s Note: At the time of writing this not every exotic is available for players to unlock. When these become available, such as the Vex Mythoclast, I will update this guide.)
Star-Eater Scales, The Path of Burning Steps, & Boots of the Assembler
The Hunter exotic legs are Star-Eater Scales. This item gives you bonus Super energy whenever you pick up an Orb of Power. If your Super is full, any Orb of Power you pick up increases its damage and will grant you a burst of health when cast. As for the Titan, you will be rocking The Path of Burning Steps. Not only will these make it harder for Stasis to freeze you, but you can burst out with no damage done. Additionally, Solar final blows will periodically give you a weapon damage boost. Finally, there are the Warlocks’ Boots of the Assembler. Whenever you cast your healing or empowered rift you’ll create orbs that seek out allies to heal or buff their damage.
To unlock these exotics, you will need to complete Legendary or Master Lost Sectors when exotic legs are available. Every day, both the Lost Sector and what rewards it offers will rotate. Currently, Legendary and Master Lost Sectors can be found on Europa, the Cosmodrome, EDZ, and the Moon. Keep in mind, these can be pretty tricky if you’re under-leveled so try to be at least 1305 if you are going to grind for these boots. Remember, both of these Lost Sectors will feature modifiers along with Champions. Since your loadout is locked, make sure you have a way to deal with any Champions or possible elemental shields.
Cryosthesia 77K
Just like previous seasons, there is an exotic Stasis sidearm tied to the season pass. Unlocked at tier one and thirty-five, the Cryosthesia is available to anyone regardless if they purchased the battle pass or not. The only kicker is if you purchase the premium tier you’ll be able to get the weapon at tier one, while those who go the free path have to grind until tier thirty-five. While this may sound like a lot, in reality, it’s not a ton of work and you’re almost guaranteed to obtain this weapon by the end of the season. Additionally, there is a catalyst for this weapon which can be unlocked by completing the two-part quest given out by Banshee-44 in The Tower.
