Destiny 2's annual Moments of Triumph event celebrating player achievement is almost here, and in the January 25 This Week in Destiny blog post, developer Bungie outlined some of the rewards players can expect. Keep in mind, the TWID labels this year's event as Moments of Triumph 2023.
"On January 30, Moments of Triumph returns with a collection of 30 challenges, celebrating everything you’ve been able to achieve this past year," the blog post reads. Bungie uses the Moments of Triumph activity to commemorate a year's worth of activities across all game modes with special emphasis on seasonal activities. Because they're retroactive and already in the Destiny 2 database, plenty of players will have a number of them completed already when the event launches.
When Does Moments of Triumph 2023 Start?
Moments of Triumph 2023 will begin promptly at 12 PM Eastern on Tuesday, January 30 with the weekly reset. At that time, all of the triumphs will go live. Those who have completed some already can instantly redeem them.

Complete five triumphs and you'll be able to purchase this year's t-shirt from the Bungie Rewards website. Completing 14 and 21 triumphs unlocks the exclusive Laurel Ghost Shell and Fire-Gilt Quadriga Sparrow, respectively.
Then 26 gets you the in-game seal and title along with the option to purchase the title pin (which typically costs $23.00).
Moments of Triumph List of Triumphs
Bungie has yet to officially release the list of triumphs, but even before the event began, they were in the Destiny 2 database. So third-party sites like light.gg could access them already. Per usual, all of the triumphs involve completing activities that were released during the year. There's a lot of emphasis on completing the Lightfall campaign, doing Neomuna activities, and maxing out your rank with Nimbus. Seasonal activities also pop up a lot from Seasons of Defiance, Deep, Witch, and Wish. In short, if you were an active participant in each of these seasons, then you've gotten a big head start.
As such, here's a look at all 30 triumphs:
- Paracausal Adventurer: Complete a run of each Year 6 Raid and Dungeon to earn the 2023 raid patch.
- Lightfall - Legendary: Complete all Lightfall missions on Legendary difficulty.
- Action Hero: Complete all Heroic public events in Neomuna.
- Cartographer: Complete all Lost Sectors in Neomuna.
- They’re Not Dolls: Collect all of the unique action figures in Neomuna and place them where they belong in Striders’ Gate.
- Terminus Treasures: At the end of the Terminal Overload activity, open Terminal Overload chests. Terminal Overload Key Chests grant additional progress.
- Take a Strand: Inflict the Unraveled, Severed, and Suspended debuffs upon targets.
- Restored and Remembered: Restore all the damaged memorials in the Hall of Heroes in Neomuna.
- Honorary Cloud Strider: Claim all Rank rewards from Nimbus.
- Root of Nightmares: Complete any version of the Root of Nightmares Raid.
- Crota’s End: Complete any version of the Crota’s End Raid.
- Arise: Complete the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon.
- Collect the Debts of Kings, O Vengence Mine: Complete the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon.
- Unbowed, Unbent: Complete every step in the "We Stand Unbroken" questline.
- Big Game Banisher: Defeat Champions or bosses in the Defiant Battlegrounds playlist.
- Scourge of Light: Defeat combatants with Season of Defiance weapons: Perpetualis, Prodigal Return, Regnant, Caretaker, Reconteur, and Royal Executioner.
- Fully Salvaged: Complete the quest "Into the Depths."
- Mechanical Depth: Successfully complete an encounter at each new depth of Deep Dives.
- Deep Reserves: Defeat targets with Season of the Deep weapons. Defeated Guardians grant additional progress.
- Hook, Line, and Sinker: Catch fish at any Fish Pond.
- Sisters and Swords: Complete every week in The Bladed Path questline.
- Elemental Covens: Complete Savathun’s Spire with a full fireteam of Arc, Void, and Solar subclasses.
- Acolyte’s Offering: Complete the following Altars of Summoning encounters on any difficulty: Solar Ritual, Arc Ritual, Void Ritual, Lecent Hive, Taken, Wrathborn, Vex, Xivu’s Brood.
- Red Tithings: Defeat targets with weapons from the Season of the Witch (Eleatic Principle, Kept Confidence, Brya’s Love, The Eremite, Semiotician, and Locus Locutus or the Red War era (The Showrunner, Deadpan Delivery, Persuader, and Nightshade).
- Arcane Knowledge: Identify all the Minor Arcana at the Lectern of Divination.
- The Parting Glass: Complete the quest Wishing All the Best.
- Lair Crawler: Complete pathways in Riven’s Lair. Completing pathways in The Coil grants increased progress.
- Riven’s Relics: Open chests in Riven’s Lair and The Coil.
- By the Breath of Sol: Complete the Exotic mission Starcrossed with a full fireteam using only Solar subclasses.
- Weapon Proficiency: Defeat combatants in the Dreaming City. Targets defeated in Seasonal Activities award additional progress.
