First In, Last Out

Stats

If you’re looking to grab the First In, Last Out you will need to complete the Exodus: Preparation quest that’s given out by Zavala at The Tower. This is a very easy quest that tasks you with completing a Weekly Bounty on Titan, Io, Mars, and Mercury. Finishing one of these bounties will award you a Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams. However, this engram will not be available in the Prismatic Recaster until after you finish the entire quest.

After you complete the quest you will have access to the Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams, CQC-Focused Umbral Engrams, and Assassin-Focused Umbral Engram. You can get this shotgun from either the normal Exodus-Focused or CQC Umbral Engrams. The latter is the best method for farming the gun since there are only two loot options when you decrypt this engram. Plus, if you don’t get the First In, Last Out, you will get a roll of the very solid Ikelos SMG.

First In, Last Out God Rolls

First In, Last Out PVE God Roll

  • Small Bore or Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Assault Mag
  • Auto-Loading Holster
  • Vorpal Weapon or Surrounded

The First In, Last Out shotgun fires a slug, meaning it revolves around actually being accurate with the weapon. Because of this, we are going to focus on increase the weapon’s effective range for the barrel and magazine perks. Small Bore and Hammer-Forged Rifling both give us this needed boost, while Assault Mag increases our overall DPS (damage-per-second) capabilities. However, if straight DPS isn’t your key, then Appended Mag is a nice alternative since it increases your overall magazine size.

As for the core perks, I really like Auto-Loading Holster as it lets you whip this gun out, take down a key enemy, and stow it away without any time-wasting to reload. It’s also great for DPS since you can unload the entire magazine, swap to your Heavy, and then go back to the shotgun which will be completely loaded. Your final perk should either be Vorpal Weapon to increase its boss killing potential or Surrounded if this shotgun is for more general use. I personally prefer Surrounded since I’ll use my Falling Guillotine for any bosses, but Vorpal Weapon is a decent secondary perk to have available.

First In, Last Out PVP God Roll

  • Full Bore
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Slideshot
  • Opening Shot

Whew is this shotgun a monster in PVP if you can land your shots. For the PVP roll of the First In, Last Out we are almost solely focusing on boosting the gun’s range, to ensure we can quickly win engagements and take down enemies. Remember, this weapon fires a slug, so accuracy is key to actually securing kills. Both Accurized Rounds and Full Bore will considerably boost our range. Slideshot is just a terrific all-purpose perk and Opening Shot helps us bring down anyone when we fire the gun for the first time. While this isn’t great for PVP, Opening Shot has always been one of the best PVP perks in the entire game.
