The Ikelos weapons are back and this time they can roll with a variety of different perks. While the shotgun can only be obtained via Destiny 2’s Prophecy dungeon, both the Ikelos sniper and submachine gun are tied to the new Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams. Given snipers have always been a favorite weapon for taking down bosses or Champions, the Ikelos_SR_v1.0.2 will certainly be a popular choice. Even though snipers got a pretty significant damage reduction a few months ago, they can still be rather deadly in the right hands. If you’re looking to farm the Ikelos SR here’s how to get it and what the god roll is.
How to Get the Ikelos_SR_v1.0.2
You can start earning the Ikelos SR as you progress through the Exodus: Preparation quest. This is a pretty simple series of missions that tasks you with completing new Weekly Bounties for Sloan, Ana Bray, Brother Vance, and Asher Mir. Completing one for the two Weekly Bounties will not only advance the quest but give you an Exodus-Focused Umbral Engram. You can then take this to the Drifter’s machine to decrypt it into either the Ikelos SR, Ikelos SMG, First In, Last Out, and Berenger’s Memory.
However, you won’t be able to actually select these engrams at the Prismatic Recaster until you complete the Exodus: Preparation quest. Once this is done, you will unlock the Exodus-Focused Umbral Engram, Assassin-Focused Umbral Engram, and CQC-Focused Umbral Engram. You’ll want to pick the Assassin-Focused Umbral Engram since that only drops the Ikelos SR or Berenger’s Memory. This will give you a better chance of farming the sniper, especially since you should have a ton of Altered Energy if you completed the Ruinous Effigy quest and catalyst.

Ikelos SR God Rolls
Ikelos SR PVE God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake
- Extended Mag
- Triple Tap or Fourth Time’s the Charm
- High Impact Reserves
If you’re looking to bring this gun into PVE then you’re going to want Arrowhead Brake in your first perk slot. Even though this increases the reload time, it will give you much better recoil control. This is key if you’re trying to land consistent critical hits on a target that’s flinching such as Champion. For your ammo perk, Extended Mag is a great choice as it will add a few extra bullets into your magazine.
Both of these perks combo wonderfully with either Triple Tap or Fourth Time’s the Charm, which will give you extra bullets for landing constant critical hits. It’s a deadly combo that only maximizes your DPS (damage-per-second) against bosses. For the final perk, I recommend High Impact Reserves which will increase your damage as you get closer to the end of the magazine. While you can pick Box Breathing, I personally don’t like it on Rapid Frame archetype snipers since it takes a second or two to actually trigger. Instead, I can typically do way more damage in a timely manner with High Impact Reserves.
Ikelos SR PVP God Roll
- Fluted Barrel
- Seraph Rounds or Acurized Rounds
- Moving Target
- Quickdraw
For those who prefer the Crucible, look for an Ikelos SR with Fluted Barrel to increase your handling and stability. While a lot of players like Acurized Rounds, I personally prefer Seraph Rounds simply because the penetrating rounds can lead to some fun collateral kills. But this is more of a novelty, even if I do enjoy this perk, so I recommend looking for Acurized Rounds instead. Your first perk is going to Moving Target which is perfect for those that like to strafe while firing. It’s especially good in competitive game modes since you won’t ever want to sit still. Finally, we’re picking Quickdraw so you can draw the weapon rapidly, allowing you to engage enemies before they’re ready.
The Ikelos SR might not be the best sniper in the game, but it’s a solid choice for those who didn’t farm a god roll Beloved or Trophy Hunter.
