The end of another month is almost upon us and that can only mean one thing: you’re running out of time to catch some fish before they leave Animal Crossing: New Horizons temporarily. That’s no big deal unless they’re particularly valuable or if you need them to complete Blathers’ museum collection. The latter comes with rewards which include the Golden Fishing Rod so you should get out there and get fishing!
For those you don’t know, Nintendo follows the seasons in Animal Crossing and that includes fish migrations and the such. You don’t have much time left to catch some of these fish as a result. And with a total of 80 different fish, you don’t want to miss out when they take off for the season.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Northern Hemisphere Fish (Leaving June 1, 2020)
That’s right, the highly desired Oarfish is leaving incredibly soon. While it’s certainly a good money making fish, make sure to snag one for Blathers. It’s available all day after all! If you miss it now, it won’t return until December in the Northern Hemisphere. For those in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s just arriving in June.
Regardless of which hemisphere you live in, the Golden Trout is only available March to May and September to November. So get ready for a hot summer or a cold winter before it comes back.
Honestly, I’m just excited for the damn Loach saying to be done with. We here on Fanbyte island reproach the Loach.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Southern Hemisphere Fish (Leaving June 1, 2020)
The Southern Hemisphere is losing a lot more fish including the aforementioned Golden Trout, Barred Knifejaw, and Ray.
If you’re yet to catch any of these, make sure to dig up some of those Manila Clams on the beach. You can find them wherever you see those water sprays shooting out. Unfortunately you then need to take those back to a crafting bench and create them one at a time. One day Nintendo will take pity on us and let us make multiple at a time. We can only hope.
