At long last, Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted has arrived. As expected, there’s a whole new seasonal quest to follow through, as well as new armor sets, weapons, and a haunting atmosphere in every corner. Considering how much is there to unpack, from Solar 3.0 to yet another list of weapon ornaments, we’re diving into all things Destiny 2. This guide focuses on all the Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted Patterns, how to unlock them, and the Deepsight Resonance requirements for each.
How to Unlock Weapon Patterns – Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted
Such as Season of the Risen, there are two ways to unlock weapon Destiny 2 Season 17 Patterns:
- Find a weapon with Deepsight Resonance, which is always marked with a red outline around the icon in your character screen. You have to complete the Attunement of the weapon, which then grants you its Pattern as well as Resonant Elements.
- You can also get Patterns as rewards for specific quests.
That’s the gist of it. Now, let’s look into all the available Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted Patterns and their own requirements. In case it’s worth clarifying, “Deepsight Resonance extractions” refer to completing a weapon’s Attunement, which you can learn everything about in our dedicated guide.

Best of luck hunting all the new Season of the Haunted Patterns!
Remember that while the list may seem short, The Witch Queen launched with over 20 different Patterns, including community favorites such as Sweet Sorrow, Come to Pass, Piece of Mind, and many others. In comparison, 12 new Patterns is still quite a hefty addition, considering all these weapons are now part of the world’s loot, as well as quests that we’re yet to discover. That being said, an average of five Deepsight Renonance extractions per weapon is quite high, so it’s likely you’ll spend a long time trying to get all Patterns. But once you do, you can go ahead and craft your own version of your favorite of the bunch.
Personally, I’m going to hunt down Hollow Denial and Beloved, two weapon types that I don’t usually use but are seemingly worth the time. Too bad we don’t get the new scythe as a new weapon, but oh well — there are always the playlist activities.
