During your time with the new Destiny 2 expansion, Shadowkeep, you’ll find yourself doing a variety of quests for the returned Eris Morn. A bunch of the quests drop randomly when fighting Nightmare enemies. Essence of Failure tasks you with finding a Captive Cord in the Lunar Battlegrounds. Completing it rewards you with the Arc Logic Legendary fusion rifle. But where is the Lunar Battlegrounds? It’s certainly not on the map. This guide will tell you exactly how to get to the are and where you can find the Captive Cord once you’re inside.

Good news! This quest is much easier than the Horned Wreath in the Chamber of Night.
To kick things off, teleport to Sorrow’s Harbor. Head straight and keep right and you’ll see the bridge below.
Follow the hallway until it opens up to a circular crater with a bunch of Hive enemies including a Witch.
Keep in mind that the enemies here aren’t of the weakest variety. If you’re under 850 Power, they’ll be skulls.
You’ll want to head straight to the floating platform before turning slightly right and heading up into the area above. This is the area where you first land on the moon so it may feel familiar.
That space will open up to an area with a couple of buildings. As you get closer a waypoint will pop up, pointing to the item’s location.
Climb up the building and you’ll find the Captive Cord on the roof.
Once you’ve got it, feel free to fast travel back to Eris so you don’t have to trek all the way back out. Then complete some activities on the Moon and get some auto rifle kills so you can claim Arc Logic!
