Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nature Day Guide - Leif's Shop, Art Museum, Jolly Redd's Return

The next Animal Crossing: New Horizons event is just around the corner. In just a few days, on April 23, your formerly deserted island will celebrate Nature Day! With the update, Nintendo has announced the return of Leif and Jolly Redd! Details on the Nature Day event can be found below.

When Does Nature Day End?

May 4! That means you have just two weeks to do everything you want before it’s over.

Leif’s Garden Shop Info

Leif will be returning to Animal Crossing as a vendor in your town square, similar to Kicks. He’s likely just an event vendor and should depart once the event concludes. This sloth only sells plants, so if you’ve needed to decorate your island make sure to visit Leif. He will also purchase weeds at an inflated price of 20 Bells, which is double what Timmy and Tommy offer. Sure, this might not get you rich, but if you pull up any weeds make sure to give them to this happy gardener.

Here’s everything Leif is selling:

  • Pink-azalea Start (shrub) – 280 Bells
  • White-azalea Start (shrub) – 280 Bells
  • Red-hibiscus Start (shrub) – 280 Bells
  • Yellow-hibiscus Start (shrub) – 280 Bells
  • Red-cosmos bag – 240 Bells
  • Red-lily bag – 240 Bells
  • White-cosmos bag – 240 Bells
  • White-lily bag – 240 Bells
  • Yellow-cosmos bag – 240 Bells
  • Yellow-lily bag – 240 Bells

More Animal Crossing: New Horizons:

Limited Nook Miles+ Daily Challenges

For the duration of the event, one of your Nook Miles+ daily challenges will be replaced with a limited-time nature day activity worth 5x Bells instead of 2x. Expect to complete tasks like planting shrubs and tending to flowers!

After completing it each day, go talk to Tom Nook. He’ll give you various rewards like the hedge recipe!

Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler

Though not part of Nature Day, this update will also add Jolly Redd and his Treasure Trawler! He’s a new vendor that will sell artwork and furniture for Bells. You can speak to Redd one day after the update goes live, so just use your time machine to move one day forward. After you buy a painting from him, you can donate it to Blathers. He will agree to take it and you’ll need to wait an additional two days for the museum’s new wing to open. Once it’s complete, speak to Redd again to be invited back to his ship to buy art.

He will sell you real and fake pieces, so here’s how to distinguish between the two!

And that’s it! We’ll have more details on the event once it’s live. For now, hopefully this helps you get settled into your new Animal Crossing: New Horizons island! Much like the game itself, check back throughout the week to see what’s new here on Fanbyte. We already have guides for how to move your tent and how to get across rivers using either the vaulting pole or constructing bridges.
