Destiny 2 The Lament Guide - Where to Get The Blade Pieces

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is finally here after months and months of waiting. Acting as the next major chapter in this FPS/RPG hybrid, players will embark on a journey to Europa to battle against a Fallen leader called Eramis and learn more about the true nature of the Darkness. This expansion includes new characters, missions, endgame activities, weapons, exotics, and enemy types. Following the new Deep Stone Raid’s completion, a bunch of quests released on Europa for players to enjoy. One of these is for the exotic sword The Lament, which revolves around delivering powerful, barrier shattering attacks. While the quest itself is easy, there is one cryptic part that may have you scratching your heads.

Here is where to find the Lament blade pieces during The Glassway strike:

Where to Find the Blade Pieces

Contrary to what the description may infer, the Blade Pieces are actually not hidden collectibles scattered throughout the strike. Instead, you can earn this item by killing a special Yellow Bar Harpy that appears alongside the boss at the end of the strike. This foe will arrive right at the start a few seconds after the boss and its Hydra come out of the Vex transporter. When it arrives, kill it to receive the Lament Blade Pieces. If you’re with others, make sure to let them get some damage on the Harpy before it dies. This will ensure that they also get credit for fighting it and won’t have to redo the entire ordeal.

After you kill the Harpy you can either finish the strike or just leave. Your next step is to visit Banshee-44, who will send you back to Europa. You’ll be told to investigate a bunker in the Eventide ruins. If you’ve been on the exotic hunt you’ll know this is referring to the Bunker E15 Lost Sector. There are no changes to the Lost Sector, so as long as you’re around 1200 Power you shouldn’t have any issues. Go through this activity and open up the chest at the end to start the final portion of this quest.

More Destiny 2 Beyond Light:

Clovis Bray I will contact you and request your assistance. This is a story quest, so we will not share any details outside of the fact that you will receive the Lament in the mission. Make sure you have inventory space in your Heavy weapons so you can grab it and equip it. There will be a lot of Barrier Champions to test this sword on, so you may struggle without it. That’s it! After you complete the quest, The Lament is yours to use and carve up enemies as you see fit. Given how popular swords are right now, we expect to see this weapon used during endgame activities and even the new raid.
