The Locus Locutus is a Legendary sniper rifle introduced during Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch. It is part of the Hive-inspired collection of craftable weapons that players can earn during the season.
How to get Locus Locutus in Destiny 2
Just like the other seasonal weapons during the Season of the Witch, you can get the Locus Locutus by taking part in seasonal activities, traversing through the season’s story, or focusing engrams at the Ritual Table. Locus Locutus becomes craftable when you acquire five Deepsight weapon patterns.
Locus Locutus God Rolls
Locus Locutus PVE God Roll
- Arrowhead Break
- Accurized Rounds
- Overflow / Wellspring
- Box Breathing
- Masterwork: Handling, Range
The Locus Locutus features several traits that work in PVE. Overflow loads this weapon beyond its capacity after picking up Special or Heavy ammo, otherwise try Wellspring since it rewards your kills with ability energy generation. Box Breathing, on the other hand, will grant you bonus range and precision damage when aiming the weapon down sights. Also, you can pair this with the Arrowhead Break barrel to snipe targets with increased handling and recoil control.
Locus Locutus PVP God Roll
- Corkscrew Rifling
- Tactical Mag
- Keep Away
- Opening Shot
- Masterwork: Handling, Range
For PVP, Locus Locutus features a handy combination of Keep Away and Opening Shot. The first will increase your weapon’s range, reload, and accuracy whenever there are no targets nearby while the latter improves the accuracy and range of your opening shot. So, while you are looking for opponents in the Crucible, you will passively receive the Keep Away boosts, which can amplify Opening Shot once you encounter an opponent, increasing your survival chances.
