Eleatic Principle is an Arc Rapid-Fire Frame machine gun. Its perk pool features some odd choices for machine guns, but with the right perk combinations, it can be potent in both PVE and PVP. Here’s how you can get it and the best perk choices for both PVE and PVP.

How to Get Eleatic Principle in Destiny 2
Eleatic Principle can drop from Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning, but players can focus it using seasonal Witch engrams at the Ritual Table in the Athenaeum — you can get there from the HELM. Obtaining five weapon patterns, or applying five Deepsight Harmonizers to individual Eleatic Principles that don’t have Deepsight, can make the weapon craftable at The Enclave.
Eleatic Principle God Rolls
Eleatic Principle PVE God Roll
- Arrowhead Brake
- Extended Mag
- Ensemble
- Target Lock
- Masterwork: Reload
Eleatic Principle has strong PVE perks in the fourth column like Target Lock, Golden Tricorn and Adrenaline Junkie, but the third column doesn’t have any of the PVE perks you’d expect to see on a machine gun. The best possible perk combination you can get for PVE is Ensemble and Target Lock. Target Lock increases damage the longer a weapon remains on a target, and Extended Mag ensures maximum stacks of Target Lock. However, since Extended Mag reduces reload speed significantly, we’re using Ensemble, which comes with a whopping 40 reload speed when players are next to allies. This roll could shine in a DPS scenario or when players need to mow down a Champion fast.
Eleatic Principle PVP God Roll
- Hammer-Forged Rifling or Extended Barrel
- Ricochet Rounds
- Moving Target or Zen Moment or Offhand Strike
- Tap the Trigger or Adrenaline Junkie
- Masterwork: Range
Moving Target and Tap the Trigger is a tried-and-tested perk combination for PVP, but it’s not the only one. Zen Moment helps control recoil and flinch, and with Tap the Trigger, you practically have a laser beam. On the other hand, Offhand Strike offers more range, accuracy and stability when firing from the hip — all of which is great if players want to make use of the radar as they get kills with this weapon. Adrenaline Junkie is an alternative for those who want a damage perk after getting a kill with the weapon or a grenade.
