Sparks flew as the cleavers scraped against each other, their keening screech echoing off the walls of the training hall.

"A half step too slow," rumbled Ghaul. "If this were a real duel, my next blow would have ended it."

Still holding her blade, Caiatl raised her forearm to wipe the sweat from her brow. "Do you talk this much during a real fight?"

Ghaul laughed. "I am not in the habit of tutoring my opponents. The lessons would be wasted upon my final blow."

"Perhaps you could bore them to death instead. What an end that would be—slain by a lecture from the Ghost Primus. A fate that may soon await me."

"Boredom is for those who lack ambition."

"Then stop droning on and attack!"

Ghaul took stock of the young heir apparent. She possessed raw talent. A marvelous instinct for battle. But her energy always flared like a supernova. There was much for her to still learn, if he were to shape her into the warrior of unparalleled ferocity that Emperor Calus desired her to be.

"In due time," Ghaul replied, setting down his weapon and taking a seat. "For now, we rest."

Caiatl grumbled something under her breath and sat beside him. Even in silence, Ghaul could feel her agitation, clearly unable to relax and recover her stamina.

"Your rage is a wildfire," he said to her. "It burns indiscriminately until nothing is left but ashes."

"Another lecture?" Caiatl quipped.

Ghaul ignored the jab and continued. "Instead, you must be a volcano. Magma, steadily seething, unseen beneath the surface. It will lull your enemy into a false sense of security. Then, when the time is right…"

"I erupt," Caiatl finished.

Ghaul smiled. "Precisely."

Caiatl sat quietly with her shoulders relaxed, seemingly absorbing the lesson. Ghaul hoped it would not go to waste.

The Duality dungeon in Destiny 2 has six firearms that are exceptionally strong. Perhaps the best of the bunch is the Stormchaser linear fusion rifle. Unlike others in this archetype, the Stormchaser actually fires in a three-round burst giving it huge damage potential. If you’re going to farm for any gun in the dungeon this is the one I recommend.

How to Get the Stormchaser

As stated above, you can only get the Stormchaser in the new dungeon. This weapon drops from the second encounter, which tasks you with opening up a vault. Keep in mind, that this gun is not a guaranteed drop at the end of this section. You could also get the new submachine gun or a piece of armor. If you do get the Stormchaser to drop, even just once, it will then become a possible reward from either of the dungeon’s two secret chests and the additional engram you get for beating the entire activity. Remember, you can endlessly farm the dungeon so you aren’t limited to running this activity once a week.

Stormchaser God Rolls

Stormchaser PVE God Roll

  • Masterwork: Charge Time
  • Arrowhead Brake
  • Liquid Coils
  • Clown Cartridge or Auto-Loading Holster
  • Firing Line

When it comes to the Stormchaser there are quite a few solid PVE perks. In the first slot, I recommend Arrowhead Brake as this will make the recoil far easier to handle. We also get a +10 to Handling, which is perfect for DPS phases where we need to swap to it. You will also want Liquid Coils as the magazine perk since it will increase our damage at the cost of a slightly longer charge time. Given this gun already hits like a truck, Liquid Coils only makes it that more dangerous.

Destiny 2 Stormchaser God Roll

As for Primary perks, you can’t really go wrong with either Clown Cartridge or Auto-Loading Holster. The latter will give you a chance for a bigger magazine whenever you reload which is terrific in most circumstances. However, a strong case can be made for Auto-Loading Holster since it frees you up to swap to another weapon when damaging a boss whenever you need to reload. Personally, I like Auto-Loading Holster since it allows me to swap to my Witherhoard or sniper rifle to do even more damage with virtually no downtime.

Finally, if you plan on getting this gun for raids or dungeons then Firing Line is the perk you want. That being said, you should have zero complaints if you get one with Vorpal Weapon. The latter is better for solo players or those running Grandmaster Nightfalls where you might not always be able to trigger Firing Line.

Stormchaser PVP God Roll

  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Corkscrew Rifling
  • Accelerated Coils
  • Rangefinder
  • Rampage

Look, I don’t recommend using Stormchaser in PVP. Unlike other linear fusion rifles such as Reed’s Regret, this gun doesn’t have any solid PVP perks. If you are determined to use it, I suggest Corkscrew Rifling in the first slot as it will boost our range, handling, and stability without any stat penalties. Accelerated Coils are also a must since we will get a faster charge time, allowing us to swiftly kill opponents that wander into our line of sight.

As for primary perks, we don’t have a ton of solid options so I am going with Rangefinder and Rampage. The former will give us a nice range bump, allowing us to take targets out from a considerable distance while the latter rewards us for killing players in quick succession. You can also go with Demolitionist instead of Rampage if you’d prefer a bit more utility than an outright damage boost. Again, there are better options available so just focus on farming for a PVE roll.
