Deliverance

Stats

With the Vow of the Disciple raid now live, players can earn a variety of new weapons with unique perks and passive abilities. The one I am most excited about as a Fusion Rifle fanboy is Deliverance. A Fusion Rifle in the Kinetic slot, this Stasis weapon allows players to freely use a primary firearm in the Energy slot while still getting to rock a rather potent Fusion Rifle. Couple this with the ability to craft a version of Deliverance with enhanced perks, and it can be an absolute monster in PVE content.

Here’s how to get this weapon and what rolls you should consider:

How to Get Deliverance

Unsurprisingly, you can only get Deliverance in the new Vow of the Disciple raid. This activity has a recommended Power of 1520 and is broken up across four encounters. Deliverance can drop from the first and third encounters. It is a random drop, so you will have a smaller chance of getting a Deepsight variant, which can be completed to make progress towards unlocking Deliverance’s crafting pattern. Additionally, you can get Deliverance from any secret chests throughout the raid so long as you have already gotten it before.

While you will need five Deepsight variants of Deliverance to craft it, you can purchase a guaranteed red-bar version at the end of the raid after defeating Rhulk. If crafting doesn’t interest you, then you can always spend 20 Spoils of Conquest to purchase a normal, random roll of this gun at the final chest. Again, you will need to have previously unlocked it for it to appear in this “store.” Given the potency of enhanced perks, it’s honestly best to just craft this weapon instead of rolling for an inferior version of it.

Destiny 2 Deliverance God Roll

Deliverance God Rolls

PVE God Roll

  • Masterwork: Charge Time
  • Arrowhead Brake or Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Accelerated Coils
  • Demolitionist
  • Chill Clip or Adrenaline Junkie

When it comes to using Deliverance in PVE, there are some pretty wild perks it can roll with. We will want Charge Time as our Masterwork to reduce how long it takes to fire between shots. Both Arrowhead Brake and Hammer-Forged Rifling are solid barrel mods, with the former giving us much-needed recoil control while the latter buffs our range, stability, and handling. These are solid options, so the choice comes down to personal preference. In the magazine slot, you will absolutely want Accelerated Coils. This Fusion Rifle isn’t designed to melt bosses like the Cartesian Coordinate, so the slight knock to the Impact stat isn’t a big deal. Besides, having a faster charge time will allow you to quickly rip through groups of enemies with relative ease.

As for the primary perks, I cannot recommend Demolitionist enough. Whether you’re running Stasis or Void, grenades are extremely strong right now, so being able to fill up a healthy percentage of your meter per kill cannot be overlooked. This perk also synergizes wonderfully with our second choices, Adrenaline Junkie or Chill Clip. The former is a damage boost that increases based on both kills with this weapon or grenades. Given Demolitionist gives us grenade energy, this crafts a wonderful feedback loop where we are constantly boosting our damage due to grenade kills while bringing this ability off cooldown.

Alternatively, you can go with Chill Clip, which offers terrific area control — especially in higher-tier content. Since this only triggers with the top half of the magazine, there’s a solid argument to pair this with the new Compulsive Reloader perk to ensure we can swiftly keep freezing our targets. If you don’t need the extra reload speed, Demolitionist is still a terrific perk to pair with this!

PVP God Roll

  • Masterwork: Range
  • Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Projection Fuse
  • Perpetual Motion
  • Tap the Trigger

If you’re looking to take this into the Crucible, we are mostly going all-in on the range stat. Increasing our effective range in duels is critical — especially given the popularity of shotguns in PVP. Because of this, both our barrel and magazine will be entirely focused on increasing our range. Hammer-Forged Rifling gives us +9 to range, while Projection Fuse adds a wild additional +9. It may be too early to call if this will be the meta Fusion Rifle, but the ability to nearly max out the range stat definitely moves it to the front of the pack.

In the primary perk slots, you’ll want both Perpetual Motion and Tap the Trigger. We aren’t going for anything too fancy here, focusing solely on upping Deliverance’s consistency in PVP. Given you are almost always moving, Perpetual Motion’s passive benefits are terrific to have, while Tap the Trigger makes hitting enemies at range much easier. Combine this with our increased range and we will easily slay Guardians before they can slide up on us with their shotguns. Unless they’re using Chaperone… then you just pray they can’t aim.
