Animal Crossing: New Horizons Stamp Rally Guide - Fish, Bug, & Fossil Plaque Museum Stamp Rewards

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Museum Day event has officially begun and it’s all about locating stamp boxes hidden throughout the building. Part of Blathers’ Stamp Rally, you’ll need to locate nine separate stamps to earn three unique furniture items that are only available during the event. These are wall decorations that showcase a gold bass, butterfly, and fossil on a dark wooden plaque. Unfortunately, they do not move, dance, or sing if you interact with them, which I’m sure is a major disappointment for anyone who grew up in the late 90s.

How to Get the Fish, Bug, & Fossil Plaques

Obtaining these items is actually extremely simple. Until May 31, head to the museum and speak to Blathers to get a stamp book. He will inform you that there are nine yellow-colored stamp boxes (three in each exhibit) scattered around the museum. You’ll then be tasked with hunting these boxes down and interacting with them to earn a unique stamp. It’s currently unclear if the box placements are randomized or pre-determined, so just scour each exhibit until you locate a large yellow stamp box.

These are pretty hard to miss, especially if you visit the museum often and know the building’s layout. After you collect three stamps from each exhibit, speak to Blathers to earn the Fish, Bug, and Fossil Plaques. He will then congratulate you on a job well done and send you on your merry way. You can now hang these up in your home on any of the walls. Visually, they look okay and might work well if you turned a room into an office, den, or library. Unfortunately, like other hanging items, you cannot mount these on any walls outside.

More Animal Crossing:

If you want to sell them, Timmy and Tommy will pay your a measly 300 Bells a piece. You also cannot get this item back from the Nook Shopping machine in the Resident Services Center. Because of this, we recommend just throwing them into storage like the other event items since they don’t really fit with a lot of the designs or typical builds people create. Currently, we do not know if there are any additional rewards you can earn during the Museum Day event. However, if the May Day event is any indication, then don’t expect much from these short holiday celebrations in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
