Nearly two months after Tokyo's Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2024, Square Enix continues to make the rounds ahead of Dawntrail's launch this summer. Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida, producer of both FFXIV and FFXVI, heads to Boston with exciting plans for both Final Fantasy games at PAX East to give a glimpse of future plans.
Beginning March 21, attendees of PAX East can pay a visit to the Final Fantasy XIV booth throughout the duration of the event. Fans will have a chance to earn unique prizes and giveaways by attending the booth, where they can also challenge themselves to take on Asura in "The Gilded Araya" Trial introduced in FFXIV Patch 6.5 and win a t-shirt if they emerge victorious.

Yoshi-P plans to take the stage for two separate panels during the event. The first, on Friday, March 23 at 11:30am EDT, focuses on his second addition as producer to the Final Fantasy series, FFXVI. Joined by localization director Koji Fox and DLC director Takeo Kujiraoka, the group will discuss The Rising Tide, the upcoming DLC for the newest entry in the series. The Lodestone page announcing the events hints that panel attendees will receive a commemorative Jill pin in the classic Final Fantasy pixel-art style. Fans unable to make it to the event can watch the FFXVI panel on Square Enix's official YouTube and Twitch, as well as PAX East's secondary Twitch channel.
The second panel is the "Journey to Dawntrail: The 10 Year Adventure of Final Fantasy XIV," where Yoshi-P will look back on the last 10 years of Final Fantasy XIV and show off what players can look forward to in Dawntrail. The FFXIV panel is expected to start Saturday, March 23 at 12pm EDT and will be streamed on the official FFXIV Twitch channel, along with PAX East's stream.
