In a sea of casual fun-lovers, there are progression raiders honing their craft in Final Fantasy XIV. They might cry out for more Extreme, Savage, and Ultimate content to clear, but they do exist. Static groups busily prepare their gear and master mechanics in order to beat whatever Square Enix throws at them; they pave the way for the rest of us.
Yesterday, the new Savage iteration of Endwalker‘s first raid wing, Pandaemonium: Asphodelos, dropped into the game. With that drop, some of the best FFXIV raiders sprung into action, slamming their heads into the first four circles of Asphodelos Savage. These groups are all jockeying for World First, the honor of being the very first group to complete an entire Savage raid wing. The feat is a combination of execution, deduction, and just a bit of luck.
The raid wing was completed by the Thoughts Per Second team from Radiance, a free company on the Gilgamesh server. The team reported its clear yesterday at 4:48 PM PST. The full roster of the team follows:

- Astrologian: Ara Hoshizora
- Scholar: Kiona Lynaer
- Black Mage: Sfia Pirion
- Reaper: Shina Florem

- Red Mage: Mtlol Qt
This morning, Square Enix confirmed the World First with a congratulations from creative director and producer Naoki Yoshida himself. The second and third place clears were also revealed. Aether Group 3 finished around two hours after Thoughts Per Second and Entropy finished another hour after that.
