We are on the cusp of Patch 6.1 for Final Fantasy XIV! The upcoming patch is now live after a bit of maintenance, adding a new Alliance Raid, a new PVP mode, and a host of balance changes for every job. Square Enix released the full patch notes for 6.1, including several details that were previously unmentioned.
One of those details involves the last set of gender-locked equipment in the game. Square Enix has been slowly removing those locks, allowing players to wear those clothing items on characters of any gender. With Patch 6.1, we’re nearing the end of that process.
Under the “Items” section of the complete patch notes, you’ll find a lengthy set of items that can now be equipped regardless of gender. This list includes the Rathalos armor from the still-ongoing Monster Hunter World collaboration event. The items are:

Whether you want your beefy bear Hrothgar in a dress, or your exploration-themed female Viera in a fashionable Frontier Jacket, you’ll soon be able to wear whatever you want. If glamour is the endgame, providing maximum options is the way to go.
