Let’s be honest; half of the time, all we really want from Glamour are those swank unique looks the in-game cast has. Final Fantasy XIV pulls out all the stops in designing the look of its supporting cast, so they frequently get some of the best designs. Some of those designs can be obtained in-game, like Thancred’s Gunbreaker outfit, while others live only on the Mog Station Store for real money, like Alphinaud’s Endwalker look or Y’shtola’s Shadowbringers getup.
Sadly, some looks remain out of reach. You can’t sport Alisaie’s Endwalker look, though some have tried to get close. One outfit that some players have been pining for is Lyse’s Stormblood ensemble. The flowing red dress makes her Monk-based style of fighting look graceful. I’d almost argue the look makes the character.
Well, now the dress is available on the Mog Station Store. It’s called Lyse’s Leadership Attire, and for $15 USD, you can get the outfit and her specific hairstyle for your very own character. It fits all female player characters; Sadly, male characters cannot wear it, despite the FFXIV team working hard to remove gender locks on most equipment.
If you want to see what the gear looks like in-game. You can use the new Dreamfitting system added in Patch 6.1. If you retire to an inn room, interact with the bed, and then select “Dreamfitting,” you can preview many of the Mog Station Store items. Unfortunately, not all of them are available in the list. That said, Lyse’s outfit is available in the Trending section.
There are still tons of places the FFXIV team can draw inspiration from for new outfits. With Endwalker, we’ve gone into Garlemald, so perhaps we can get some of those sick Legatus armor sets? What about G’raha’s current look? Honestly, there are a ton of hairstyles that characters have that players simply can’t access, including Gaia, Hythlodaeus, Venat, and Hilda. Do you hear us, FFXIV team!?
