Love is in the Air as Valentione's Day Returns to FFXIV

Valentione's Day is back, with a new emote and stylish furnishing item!

Like it or loathe it, February brings Valentine’s Day to our calendars, and with it Final Fantasy XIV’s own version of the holiday is returning as well. Valentione's Day returns to FFXIV on Wednesday, Feb. 7, as per an announcement on the official Lodestone site and posts on social media.

From Feb. 7 until Wednesday, Feb 21, this love-smitten event will take over Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania, as the aspirants of House Valentione once again share their wisdom on matters of the heart. This year's event sees the return of Astrid and Lisette de Valentione, scions of House Valentione, and NPC quest givers for the event for the past several years.

Beyond just a love-lorne quest, this edition of the event will award players with a Valentione's Heart Chair furnishing item, and a new Love Heart emote. And, as per usual certain items available during previous iterations of these events can be obtained from the House Valentione maid. Rewards from previous events, including outfits and emotes will likely appear in the cash shop at the same time as well.

As mentioned the event runs from the first full week of February, to the last. The quest chain can be picked up from Astrid at X: 10.2, Y: 9.4 Old Gridania, starting with a quest entitled “The Symbol of Love.” The short quest series will likely be a welcome reprieve from those running constant Ocean Fishing voyages for Irregular Tomestones.

Valentione's Day has been a seasonal event in Final Fantasy XIV for over a decade, with the first edition in 2011. The event has run every single year except 2013. In 2021, the event was folded into a joint event with Little Ladies’ Day, a March festival linked to the Japanese Hinamatsuri holiday.
