The Valentione's Day event has arrived in Final Fantasy XIV, marking the arrival of the season of love. To celebrate the occasion, rewards from last year's event have been added to the FFXIV Online Store alongside a limited-time sale on items from previous years' Valentione events.
Square Enix is following their usual practice of offering rewards from the previous year's event for purchase during the latest iteration. For players who may have missed the event in 2023, they can now find the previously gender-locked Valentione Emissary Jacket and Ruffled Dress outfits on offer for $5 on the FFXIV Online Store. Additionally, the heart-shaped Authentic Valentione's Heart Desk housing item is now available for $5, alongside the $2 "Eat Chocolate" emote to eat the delicious sweets given to them by someone just as sweet.
It's not just the rewards from the 2023 Valentione's Day event that can get you in the mood for love. The Online Store is also offering discounted prices on items previously rewarded from past events. For a limited time, you can purchase the various Rose, Forget-me-not and Acacia Dashing Valentione and Prim Valentione glamour sets that are frequently used in many players' glamour plates. There's also the popular Dote emote, two mounts and chocobo bardings, and many more furnishing items and glamours listed at a 30% discount until the end of the event.
Previously, items from past events were available in the game through the current iteration of the event's vendor. However, it has become a standard practice for Square Enix to add such items to the Online Store instead. Long-time players have had the opportunity to hear more than 10 years worth of rewards, so new players would miss out on adding fun new items to their collections if they were not offered elsewhere. Although paying for older items may not be the best scenario, having them available in some capacity is better than missing out.
The Valentione's Day event for 2024 will end on Feb 21 at 11pm PST. Players will have two weeks to complete the event and purchase any previously missed Valentione items before the FFXIV Online Store's sale ends at the same time.
