In Final Fantasy XIV, new mounts are always cause for excitement from players. The newest one, added to the Online Store today, is the Crescent Moon mount. To start, it's priced at $24, but there's a fair chance that we may see it included in the site's seasonal sales as it gets older.
This account-wide mount features a crescent moon, a bright glow and some animated sparkles, as well as a large flowing cloth that billows with the movement of the mount. The owner sits comfortably in the curve of the moon, almost reminiscent of the fishing DreamWorks boy. You might also notice that there's a little leporine friend seated on the edge of the crescent.
Warning: spoilers for Endwalker ahead.

There's an automaton modeled after a Loporrit there to accompany your Warrior of Light wherever they may go on their mini-moon. In the showcase video posted by the official FFXIV YouTube channel, the Loporrit appears to emote with the mount, talking with the WoL and looking vigilantly out at the landscape as they move along.
According to the mount's product page, the "magicked gondola" is a creation that was being stored in Sharlayan. While it's referred to as a gift, it's a mystery who made it, and for whom. However, the mechanical Loporrit should give you a some context.
So long as you've progressed far enough into the game to get your first chocobo mount, you shouldn't have a problem picking this up off of the FFXIV Store. Assuming that you don't mind picking it up at full price, that is. Note, however, that you might experience some delays in delivery if you're buying it shortly after release as a result of congestion in the system. With how cute this mount is, it wouldn't be too surprising.
