ffxiv eastern socialite's boots

The FFXIV Eastern Socialite’s Boots are a pair of a Level 1 foot armor (otherwise known as, uh, boots). They come as part of the Eastern Socialite’s Attire set: an optional purchase available on the Final Fantasy XIV real money store. The set as a whole is typically sold for $18 USD. Though the boots themselves — like every other piece of gear from the set — are not sold separately.

While originally “gender locked” to feminine body types, the Eastern Socialite’s Boots were made available to wear on all player characters with the Patch 6.2 update as part of Endwalker. Though they do still appear slightly different according to the player character’s in-game race.

The Eastern Socialite’s Attire as a whole is generally similar in aesthetic to the Mun’gaek Attire. Both the Eastern Socialite’s Attire and Mun’gaek Attire also start with a stark white color (though the boots start off red) and accents. Both sets are also described as a type of “traditional” clothing and seem designed to evoke classic formalwear seen in some Asian regions. Before the removal of the gender lock, the Eastern Socialite’s Attire was essentially the feminine version of the Mun’gaek Attire, and vice versa. Each set is still shown in the other’s “Related Items” section.

As with most Level 1 armor in FFXIV, the boots are almost entirely meant to be used as for Glamour purposes. Their combat value is extremely limited (i.e. their gear stats are absolutely terrible). Though they can be dyed for fashion purposes.

Other armor pieces from the Eastern Socialite’s Attire set include:

  • Eastern Socialite’s Hat
  • Eastern Socialite’s Cheongsam
  • Eastern Socialite’s Gloves
  • Eastern Socialite’s Skirt
