The Island Sanctuary in Final Fantasy XIV is meant to be a relaxing and calm experience, but don't let the promise of relaxation fool you into thinking there is no work to be done. After unlocking and upgrading your very own sanctuary, you can use this piece of paradise to your advantage by making a good chunk of gil as long as you keep it stocked up with materials.
One of the materials you don't want to run low on is Island Tinsand. This material is used not only to upgrade a facility but also to expand your island through Mammet-sized tools. In addition, it is used in several Handicrafts that are often in demand.
How to Get Island Tinsand in FFXIV's Island Sanctuary
On your Island Sanctuary, you can find Island Tinsand by gathering from the Submerged Sand nodes in the two rivers that originate in The Wilds. To gather from these nodes, you'll need to enable "Gathering" mode while you're on the island. Island Tinsand can be collected from the Submerged Sand nodes as long as you have crafted the Islekeep's Shovel.

The following two locations contain Submerged Sand nodes:
Northward Stream: This is the ideal location for farming Island Tinsand. Thirteen Submerged Sand nodes are along this stream (X: 18.6, Y: 22.8). Being in one long line means you will have to mount up and navigate back to the start of the line once it's complete, but you won't have to go out of your way to gather any additional nodes to respawn the first.

This route contains four Submerged Sand nodes alongside various other options. You won't have difficulty finding nodes to reset your desired sand nodes here.
