How to Get Island Jellyfish in FFXIV's Island Sanctuary

Juice up your island pasture by using the Island Jellyfish material.

Final Fantasy XIV's Island Sanctuary allows players to live out their farming simulator dreams by giving them an unexplored island to discover while collecting and caring for exotic wildlife. As you progress through the ranks, you'll be able to catch rarer and larger animals requiring new types of restraints. Those looking to capture the largest of animals will want to make sure they have a healthy supply of Island Jellyfish in order to craft themselves Makeshift Soporifics, the biggest restraint the Island Sanctuary offers.

Unlocking the Island Sanctuary and progressing through the ranks can be a worthwhile endeavor even for players uninterested in the casual nature of developing the island. Although the island mainly rewards players with Seafarer's Cowries, smart players with their eyes on the market board will have no trouble generating profits in gil.

Where to find Island Jellyfish

Gathering Island Jellyfish requires players to first reach Sanctuary Rank 7 and craft themselves an Islekeep's Bronze Gig using three Island Logs, three Island Copper Ore, three Island Tinsand, and three Island Hemp. Once completed, they can be found by enabling Gather mode and looking for underwater gathering nodes called Coral Formations.

The Coral Formation nodes containing Island Jellyfish can only be found in the submerged area off the coast of the Coral Sands. If you've reached this area and can't see any gathering nodes, don't forget to dive underwater and enter Gather mode. There are only eight Coral Formations available, so players will looking to farm Island Jellyfish will have to gather from some of the Seaweed Tangle nodes in the area as well. Fortunately, these nodes provide another component used in crafting Makeshift Soporific, Island Laver.
