Just like previous expansions in Final Fantasy XIV, the Clan Hunt is an optional activity in Endwalker that’ll net you some neat rewards and EXP. It functions very much the same — go to the Hunt Board, accept whichever tier of bounties called Mark Bills, find and defeat those enemies, and get your rewards.
They’re called Guildship Hunts in Endwalker and you’ll find the unlock quest, Hunt Board, and vendor in the hub area of Old Sharlayan. Honestly, it’s super-easy to unlock, but if you missed it or would rather not go poking around to find it, we have you covered. We also have the important details, like the vendor item list and prices, below.
How to Unlock the Clan Hunt in Endwalker
Early on in the expansion, you’ll have an optional quest called “The Hunt for Specimens” from an NPC called Diminutive Gleaner — the exact coordinates for their location are X: 11.2, Y: 12.1 in Old Sharlayan. You’d be hard pressed to miss the little Lalafell since they’re right in front of the steps leading to Old Sharlayan’s main Aetheryte. You then have to speak to the NPC Northota down by the harbor, and that’s it, you’ve unlocked Guildship Hunts.
However, you need to have the Hunts from previous expansions unlocked before accessing the Hunt in Endwalker. If you’ve never touched Hunts in FFXIV before, you’ll need to go back to The Foundation in Ishgard and complete the questline starting with “Let the Clan Hunt Begin” (X: 12.0, Y: 11.0). Afterward, you just need to simply unlock the Hunt Boards in Kugane (“One-star Veteran Clan Hunt” quest at X: 10.3, Y: 10.2) and The Crystarium (“Nuts To You” quest at X:12.1, Y:15.0).
How The Hunt Works
Just like the Nutsy Clan Hunt in Shadowbringers, Guildship Hunts also use Sacks of Nuts as currency to exchange for rewards. It seems that the quantity of Sacks earned are the same across the same tiers of Mark Bills for both the Guildship Hunt Board and Nutsy Clan Hunt Board. For example, the first tier for the Guildship (called Junior Guildship Mark Bills) gives you 3 Sacks of Nuts per bounty as does the first tier from the Nutsy Clan (One-Nut Mark Bills).
Vendor Items and These Sacks of Nuts
You can use these nuts to purchase items such as the new Materia levels IX and X, cosmetics like the Diabolos Wings and the Nagxian Cat minion, and a new Striking Dummy and Orchestration Roll. Below is the list of items offered by the Guildship Hunt vendor (right next to the Old Sharlayan Hunt board) and their prices.
- Diabolos Wings: 800 Sacks of Nuts
- Nagxian Cat: 800 Sacks of Nuts
- Thavnarian Striking Dummy: 300 Sacks of Nuts

Completing your Mark Bills from the Hunt Board will also reward you with decent chunks of EXP. While it may not be the most efficient way of leveling up alternate Jobs, it’s a good thing to work into your rotation of FATEs while waiting for your Duty Roulette queues.
