The next seasonal event in Final Fantasy XIV starts real soon. This year’s All Saints’ Wake kicks off on January 20 at 12 a.m. PT and will run until February 2 at 7 a.m. PT, so you have plenty of time to get your clown shoes on. The event is centered around some real clownery — your rewards for finishing the questline include Clown’s Boots, Clown’s Bottoms, Clown’s Shortgloves, Clown’s Top, and a Clown’s Hat. And you can even unlock clown-patterned face paint for your Warrior of Light. Why would you? I do not know.
This year’s event is called “Death and Dining at the Phantom’s Feast,” and with this artwork, it’s like we’re getting a whimsical Halloween in January! I mean, look at the cute and spoooooky ghosts! To start the event, find the NPC named Adventurers’ Guild Investigator in Old Gridania (X: 10.4, Y: Y 8.4) for the quest “All Clowns’ Wake” (must be at least level 15).
Completing the questline will get you the glamour pieces mentioned above. While All Saints’ Wake is going on, you can pick up the Modern Cosmetics – Clowning Around item and truly become the Joker. You can also get the Haunted Pumpkin Set for outdoor furnishing and the Pumpkin Flower Set for tabletop decor. You can see all the glam and items below.
Imagine queueing into the biggest, most emotional battle you’ve yet to see in FFXIV and teaming up with literal clowns. Couldn’t be me! Can’t wait to see these clowns try to help me with my weekly Pandaemonium Savage clears. Man, FFXIV is great.
