Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.5 Quietly Adds Framer's Kits to Heavensward's Beast Tribes

Warriors of Light can now represent even more of their favorite Beast Tribes.

Final Fantasy XIV's patch notes are extensive when detailing everything added in a new update. Still, some additions fly under the radar until discovered by players with an eye for detail. In the case of Patch 6.5, Square Enix has quietly made some additions for a newer feature to older content.

With the latest patch, Square Enix added new Framer's Kits for the Vanu Vanu, Vath, and Moogle Beast Tribes introduced back in the Heavensward expansion. Warriors of Light can exchange the Tribal-specific currency they earn for doing the Tribe's daily quests for a special Framer's Kit themed around that specific Beast Tribe.

Players now have even more ways to make their Adventurer Plate unique with the Moogle Framer's Kit, the Vath's Framer's Kit, and the Vanu Vanu Framer's Kit

Back in Patch 6.1, Warriors of Light were given yet another way to express themselves with the introduction of Adventurer Plates. Players can pose their character and decorate their Adventurer Plate with the many different options provided, acting almost like a business card for adventurers.

The feature extended in Patch 6.3, which added similar personalized portraits at the beginning of a duty. Players can earn new frames, backgrounds, and accents for their portraits through various methods, allowing further customization.

This isn't the first time these Framer's Kits have been added to older content. When portraits for Duties were released in Patch 6.3, the remainder of Beast Tribes from Endwalker and Shadowbringers received unique portrait customizations. Stormblood saw similar attention in Patch 6.4, with its three Beast Tribes all receiving the same treatment. Players speculate the A Realm Reborn customizations may be added in the future to complete the set.
