Unity Fest FFXIV PvP Event is Raising Money for Mental Health

Unity Fest is a two-day PvP event that's raising money for a good cause.

There’s never been a better time to start killing your fellow Final Fantasy XIV players, as Unity Fest promotes PvP to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). A multi-day festival whose 2024 edition was revealed last week, Unity Fest will take place Feb. 23 to 24 and feature Crystalline Conflict, 1v1 duels, RP events, and Frontline queue syncs.

Kicking off at 3pm PST, Unity Fest will begin with Frontlines Sync and an Afro Beats Dance Party. At 5:00pm the real action starts as the Crystalline Conflict Clash Tourney starts. This is a pretty unique tournament, as there’s a 60 million gil prize pool, with the first place team receiving 30 million for their trouble. After that, the Unity Fest 1v1 Clash will test who the best duelist is, with five million gil up for grabs for first place. Day one will wrap up at 10pm with a dance party at Club Blur.

On Day two, things kick off with a Songbirds Brunch Party at 8am PST, with performances from the birds. At 10am, a Maid Cafe event and Mental Health Awareness drive will take place, while music is performed by in-game musical group Happy Tunes. 12pm sees a anime-themed fashion show, and 2pm will host a Rival Wings queue sync.

Things wrap up in the evening with the finals of the Crystalline Conflict tournament, and more RP events.

The event also looks to raise $1,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Money is being collected via Streamlabs Charity, and on ProphecyStar’s Twitch channel (organizer and host of the event).

Overall, the event is a great chance to take part in some competitive PvP while raising money for a good cause. The PvP community, despite being the only FFXIV sub community wholly devoted to player-killing, is one of the best around, and events like this show why.
