If the heat hasn’t clued you in, the summer is in full swing. That means it’s almost for Final Fantasy XIV’s Moonfire Faire. This breezy event usually takes place from mid- to late-August each year, offering unique summertime rewards for players. The 2021 event offered the swank Polar Bear mount to go along with that year’s ice cream theme.
It’s likely that this year’s Moonfire Faire will go live alongside the release of Patch 6.2, which is currently scheduled for the same time frame. We’ve seen some brief glimpses of the new rewards for this year, but ahead of all that, the FFXIV team has put a number of previous Faire items on sale on the Online Store. The sale begins today, July 27, and ends on Monday, August 22 at 11:59 p.m. PDT / 2:59 a.m. EDT.
The available items include the Summer’s Flame Attire and Flame Dance emote from the 2020 event, the Portable Pool furnishing from the 2019 event, and the Endless Summer outfit and Splash emote from the 2018 event. If you’re new to the game and missed these past Moonfire Faire events, this is your chance to acquire them!
I’ll also do a shout for a personal favorite of mine that’s on sale right now. The entire Go Go Posing Ranger Pose Set from the 2016 Moonfire Faire event is available for $5.25 USD, down from the normal $7.50 USD. It includes Ballroom Etiquette – The Red Ranger, Ballroom Etiquette – The Black Ranger, and Ballroom Etiquette – The Yellow Ranger, which are the in-game items used to unlock the emotes. This will give you a total of six emotes allowing you to strike a pose like your favorite Power Ranger or Super Sentai team!
If you’ve been missing the previous Moonfire Faire events, now is the time to open your wallet and pick up some Glamour, emotes, mounts, and other items! And get prepared for this year’s Moonfire Faire, which will have all-new rewards. If you pick up these items during the event, you won’t have to shell out for them later!
