This is one part of the Noir Attire, a unique set of rewards related to the first Variant Dungeon, the Sil’dihn Subterrane. The ensemble comes in five parts, allowing you to mix and match your beach-bound look. The entire outfit is here to make you feel like you’re a noir detective solving yet another case.
The full set includes:
As with most Glamour-centric items, every item in the set is wearable by a Level 1 character of any Class/Job.
The outfit can be worn by either gender, though the Noir Hat will not appear when worn by Hrothgar or Viera. Sorry catmen and bunny folks! The Hat also has a visor in the form of sunglasses. By using the “/visor” command, you can don and remove the sunglasses.
To obtain any item in the Noir Set, you need to first unlock Variant Dungeons. You need to have a Disciple of War/Magic up to Level 90 and have completed the main scenario quest “Endwalker”. Once you’ve done that, you can pick up the quest “A Key to the Past” from Shallow Moor in Old Sharlayan (X: 12.0, Y: 13.3).
Finishing any boss in Sil’dihn Subterrane will reward you with Sil’dihn Potsherds. Every run will leave you with 3-4 Potsherds. These can be turned into Trisassant in Old Sharlayan (X: 12.0, Y: 13.3). Here are the costs of each item:
- Noir Hat – 15 Sil’dihn Potsherds
- Noir Longcoat – 27 Sil’dihn Potsherds
- Noir Leather Gloves – 9 Sil’dihn Potsherds
- Noir Slacks – 12 Sil’dihn Potsherds
- Noir Shoes – 9 Sil’dihn Potsherds
If you happen to lose any of these items, you can reclaim them from the Recompense Officer in any of the major cities. These vendors can be found here:
- Recompense Officer – Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X: 11.2, Y: 14.3)
- Recompense Officer – Old Gridania (X: 10.0, Y: 8.3)
- Recompense Officer – Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X: 12.6, Y: 13.1)
