Centurio Seal Overview

Details

Currency minted by Clan Centurio and distributed as requital for the successful completion of Clan Hunt bills.

Attributes

Whether it be through running Dungeons, completing Extreme Trials, or maintaining an Island Sanctuary, Final Fantasy XIV offers a variety of rewards with currencies obtained through specific systems. One such currency is the Centurio Seal given by embracing the Warrior of Light's inner monster hunter.

Centurio Seals arrived with the introduction of the Clan Hunt system in Heavensward's Patch 3.0, adding on to A Realm Reborn's Hunt system and linear Hunting Log. Through a bounty board, players take bills detailing monstrous targets to defeat, rewarding them a currency based on the target's expansion. While A Realm Reborn bills reward Allied Seals, both Heavensward and Stormblood expansions use Centurio Seals as their Hunt-based currency.

There are plenty of prizes to add to your collection by exchanging Centurio Seals, thanks to the fact that it covers two expansions' worth of marks. You'll need to amass a small fortune of the currency to clear out the vendors of their goodies, so knowing methods to earn Centurio Seals consistently will make the process easier.

How to farm Centurio Seals in FFXIV

If you're set on adding items like the Tora-jiro minion or Ishgardian Barding to your collection, you'll need to unlock the ability to participate in the Hunts themselves. With Centurio Seals being the Hunt currency for two separate expansions, you'll need to complete eight quasi-quests total to experience everything Hunts have to offer. Each quest is short and sweet, only requiring talking to an NPC and examining the nearby Hunt Board to unlock the next tier of marks. You'll first need A Realm Reborn's hunts unlocked by completing the quest "Let The Hunt Begin," given by the NPC found next to the Hunt Board at your respective Grand Company.

Heavensward Clan Hunt quests

Three of the four quest givers are found around The Forgotten Knight in Ishgard's Foundation, with the odd one out hiding out in Idyllshire.

With all four quests complete, you'll now have access to each rank of Heavensward's hunt bills. Level one, two and three mark bills are posted daily, and the elite rank is limited to one per week.

Stormblood Veteran Clan Hunt quests

Unlike the previous expansion, Stormblood sticks to one NPC for providing Clan Hunt quests. These quests also require talking to the NPC and interacting with the Hunt Board for completion.

Completing all eight quests now gives you full access to marks that provide Centurio Seals. You'll need to interact with both Heavensward and Stormblood Hunt Boards, since you can only grab Hunts for each expansion in a zone related to it.

Each daily bill gives details of five mobs and a specific number of them you must defeat. Once the goal is met, you are immediately rewarded with an amount of Centurio Seals based on the bill's rank.

Mark LevelReward Total
Level 115 Centurio Seals
Level 220 Centurio Seals
Level 375 Centurio Seals

By completing both expansions sets of daily Hunt bills, you'll earn 220 Centurio Seals a day, or 1,540 a week if you complete them every day. Add in the two weekly Elite Marks giving 100 seals each, that's 1,740 Centurio Seals total for the week from Hunt bills alone.

S-Rank, A-Rank and Hunt Trains

S-rank targets are required for specific achievements and are the most difficult of that expansion's marks, provided you aren't vastly overleveled. While defeating one of these high-ranked enemies from Heavensward or Stormblood may provide 100 Centurio Seals each, you won't see that particular enemy again for anywhere from 80 to 140 hours on your server. You're not limited to the S-rank monsters of your world, as defeating the same target on another world using FFXIV's World Visit system rewards the same amount of seals if you can manage to server hop before the target is slain. Discord communities like Centurio Hunts keep track of these high-profile targets and announce whenever they're active among the various worlds within Data Centers.

While any income of Centurio Seals is welcome when trying to gather a large amount, hunting S-ranks is a more time-consuming method due to the long wait times between spawns. A-ranks, however, are regularly farmed as they have a much shorter respawn time of four to six hours.

Rather than wait for A-rank monsters to spawn and defeat them alone, joining a Hunt train conducted by the previously mentioned Centurio Hunts community is best. Here, dozens of players group up to take down all 12 A-rank creatures in an expansion to quickly and efficiently earn seals and tomestones. Participating in Hunt Trains while in a party will give you the full reward of 40 Centurio Seals per kill, totaling 480 Centurio Seals per run. With each world in a Data Center hosting their own trains, you can amass a small fortune of seals if you participate in as many as possible by traveling to other servers.

By completing your daily and weekly hunt bills, participating in Hunt Trains across your Data Center's worlds, and slaying the occasional S-rank if you happen to be in the area, earning the Centurio Seals required for your desired rewards is simple. Using Discord communities like Centurio Hunts and keeping an eye on the in-game shout chat and Party Finder, you'll know when the targets spawn and where to go when they do.
