In FFXIV, a Mayfly is a rare type of bait. It can be purchased using Gatherers’ Scrips (five Purple Gatherers’ Scrips apiece as of Patch 6.2). Simply speak to any Scrip Exchange NPC in the game. Such as the one on the Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 6.0, Y: 11.9) or The Studium in Old Sharlayan.
As shown in the screenshot above, make sure to select the option “Purple Scrip Exchange (Lv. 90 Materials/Bait)” to find the Mayfly for purchase. Note that subsequent updates after Patch 6.2 may deprecate the bait to a different section — using whatever the lowest tier of Gatherers’ Scrip is available at the time.
