Flax is a FFXIV crafting material gathered by the Botanist class, a Disciple of the Land. Commonly growing in the highlands of Coerthas, the stalk of this fibrous plant is used to create a linen yarn. It’s an ingredient used in a scant few Alchemist and Weaver crafts from A Realm Reborn. Of course, its primary use is in crafting Linen Yarn as a Weaver.
You can find the material within Level 35 Lush Vegetation Patches outside of Camp Tranquil (X: 18.7, Y: 28.6) in South Shroud. Before you can acquire the resource from the node, you must first unlock the Botanist class. Then you need to be at least Level 31 before you can tap these nodes and acquire this material.
