How Many Bases Can You Have in Palworld?

You can have multiple bases in Palworld, although there is a limit.

Palworld has a massive map that is almost impossible to travel across without stopping for rest or to gather materials. During the early game, you'll be constantly returning to your home base to reset your inventory and manage your Pals. Eventually, you'll unlock the option to build more Pal Boxes, meaning multiple bases can be managed across the world.

There is a limit to the number of bases you can have in Palworld, although you can still build across the world as much as you want.

How Many Bases Can You Have in Palworld?

You can have a total of three full-fledged bases in Palworld. You'll unlock the second base at Base Level 10 and the third at Base Level 15. Once you hit these levels, you can place another Pal Box at another location, creating a hub for your Pals and a new fast travel point.

However, you can technically build as many bases as you want across the map, as a Pal Box is not needed to build a base. You just won't be able to fast travel to these locations and your Pals cannot be assigned to do work and complete tasks, but they can still function as a safe place to store items and sleep.

Building without a Pal Box also prevents certain items from being created, although the essentials, like the Primitive Workbench, will be available.

The best strategy when creating a base without a Pal Box is to build it near an existing Fast Travel point. This allows you to use the base as needed without a long commute.

It will also be a while before you unlock the option for a second and third base, so consider building your first base in a central area as you increase its level. Take advantage of the three bases by placing them in separate parts of the map, giving you a hub in each area to store Pals and to gather materials as needed.
