There are a ton of legendaries to find in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. In fact, aside from the box legendaries Dialga and Palkia and the event Pokemon Shaymin and Darkrai, there are 14 legendaries you can find throughout Sinnoh. Some have prerequisites, but most are unlocked via quests so we’ve compiled a list on how to find every single Legendary Pokemon in Arceus.
Spoiler warning ahead, readers beware.
Legendary Pokemon Locations in Arceus
As mentioned, many of these require quests that are obtained near the end of the game. Every legendary on this list, except Phione and Manaphy, is required to fill out the Pokedex and challenge Arceus so seeking them out is worth your while. It’s recommended to have a well-rounded team of Pokemon ready, as many of these Pokemon will require combat to catch.
- Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf: The Lake Guardian Trio legendaries are all Psychic types, and while you could technically engage them in combat, it is easier to simply hit them with Balls of Mud and use heavier Poke Balls from behind them when they’re stunned. You can find Uxie at Lake Acuity, Mesprit at Lake Verity, and Azelf at Lake Valor, but only once you’ve accepted the appropriate quests from Cogita.
- Heatran: After accepting the quest, you can find Heatran at the Cobalt Coastlands, Volcano area.
- Cresselia: Once you accept the quest from Cogita, you can find Cresselia at Coronet Highlands, Moonview Arena.
- Regigigas: After catching Heatran and Cresselia, you can find Regigigas at the Snowpoint Temple.
- Tornadus: One of the “genies,” Tornadus can be found at Alabaster Icelands, Bonechill Wastes during a blizzard. You must accept the Cogita quest beforehand, however.
- Thundurus: Thunderus can be found at Cobalt Coastlands, Coastland Campsite during heavy rain. You must accept the Cogita quest beforehand, however.
- Landorus: Landorus can be found at Obsidian Fieldlands, Ramanas Park. You must accept the Cogita quest beforehand, however.
- Enamorus: The newest member of the genie Pokemon, you can only accept the quest from Cogita upon catching all three of the other genies. Enamorus can be found at Crimson Mirelands, Scarlet Bog.
- Giratina: You will have to defeat Volo as part of the endgame. Be warned — Volo not only fights you with six Pokemon, he will then summon Giratina on top of that. Once you defeat Giratina, they will change forms and heal their health bar, so in essence you are fighting eight Pokemon back-to-back.
- Phione and Manaphy: You can accept this quest from the Quest Board upon finishing the Cobalt Coastlands and reaching at least Rank 6.
- Collect the following three Pokemon:
- Buizel (Cobalt Coastlands, Aipom Hill or Bathers’ Lagoon)
- Mantyke (Cobalt Coastlands, Ginkgo Landing or Tranquility Cove)
- Overqwil (Hisuian Qwilfish evolves into this after using Strong Style Barb Barrage 20 times. You can find Hisuian Qwilfish at Cobalt Coastlands, Hideaway Bay or Tombolo Walk)
- Once you have all three, rest at the Coastlands Camp until nightfall.
- Surf on your Basculegion north towards the Stone Arch and pass through it. If done correctly, you should hear Phione cry out.
- Head to Seaside Hollow, located north of Veilstone Cape, and save outside the cave — this is a tricky fight.
- Inside you will find three Phione and one Manaphy. Manaphy is level 50 and Phione is level 33.
- Collect the following three Pokemon:
- Arceus: The big lad himself, you can only engage Arceus once you have caught every non-mythical Pokemon in the game. This means every Pokemon except for Phione, Manaphy, Shaymin, and Darkrai must be caught and marked as such in your Pokedex. Once completed, head to the Temple of Sinnoh, and Arceus will await your challenge.
