The next horrifying installment of the Resident Evil series has finally arrived. Continuing the story of Ethan Winters following the events of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village sees our titular hero venture into a mysterious eastern European town to save his kidnapped baby. Throughout your journey, Ethan will encounter all sorts of horrific monsters, eccentric characters, puzzles, and familiar faces. Pulling inspiration from previous entries, Resident Evil Village mixes both horror and action. There are also a ton of secrets to uncover and treasures to unlock, one of which is the four Labyrinth puzzles scattered throughout each of the major areas. Here’s where to find the balls for each of these puzzles so you can claim the skull inside.
(Author’s Note: The ball locations are where the crosshair is on the maps below.)
Lady Dimitrescu’s Castle Ball
The first ball can be found about halfway through Lady Dimitrescu’s castle. Eventually, you will escape her chasing you and arrive in the courtyard. When this happens, make your way into the annexed part of the castle. You’ll enter a small waiting room with a staircase that leads to the second floor. Go up the steps and take the door on your left. Before proceeding down to the lower floor in the Opera Hall, go to the railing that overlooks the stage and piano. On the left, you’ll see a small open room where you can find the castle ball in a small chest.
Beneviento’s Graveyard Ball
The easiest of the four to obtain, this one can only be reached after you defeat Angie and Donna. On your way back to the village you will be forced by a small shack that’s swarming with zombies. Kill all of these ghouls and then head up a small, curved path towards a tree. You’ll find the treasure box with the ball in it on the ground next to the trunk. The actual Labyrinth Puzzle is on the hill by the house across from the shack you’re currently near.
Moraeu Reservoir Ball
This ball can only be accessed after you defeat Moreau and obtain the crank. After completing this section, leave the reservoir but do not head back to the village. Instead, use the crank to open the Mechanical Door on your right. Head down the narrow path and kill the flying gargoyle enemies flying around the hills. Make your way up the path on the right, cross the bridge, and interact with the lightbox on the left. You’ll find the Reservoir Ball there, which can be used in the Labyrinth Puzzle by the windmill.
Heisenberg’s Factory Ball
The final ball can be found in Heisenberg’s Factory after you deal with the jetpack-wearing, metal zombies in the Grinder Shaft. After climbing through the destroyed fan, you’ll emerge in a small hallway leading to a room with a staircase and a destroyable wall. Craft a pipebomb and toss it against the cracked wall. This will destroy it, giving you access to the secret room on your right. In here you’ll find the Ball Mold, which can be taken to the smelter room to craft the final ball. Don’t worry about heading back now, you’ll need to go to this room again to craft a key once you find the Key Mold. To reach the final Labyrinth Puzzle, take the Duke’s elevator to the lowest floor and go into the room directly across from his market.
