The next horrifying installment of the Resident Evil series has finally arrived. Continuing the story of Ethan Winters following the events of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village sees our titular hero venture into a mysterious eastern European town to save his kidnapped baby. Throughout your journey, Ethan will encounter all sorts of horrific monsters, eccentric characters, puzzles, and familiar faces. Pulling inspiration from previous entries, Resident Evil Village mixes both horror and action. To give yourself an edge you’ll want to earn treasures, which are valuable items that require a bit of legwork to obtain. These can be sold for thousands of Lei, giving you a lot of spending money. One of the easiest to miss is in the Beneviento’s graveyard, which requires you to find a missing slab for the large tomb by the elevator.
Where to Find the Missing Slab
To unlock this treasure you need to first beat Angie and Donna in their boss fight. This means completing the Beneviento Estate, so don’t worry about it during your first time through the graveyard. Once you have vanquished these foes, make your way back to the village. You will have several undead monstrosities guarding your path, so be ready for a fight. Once you are in town, go to the town square by the statue and head up the hill towards the small graveyard. Two undead fiends will attack, one of which emerges from a gated crypt on the left.
After both have been dispatched, go into this crypt to find the missing piece of the Beneviento tomb. Keep in mind, the gate is only open for this part. I attempted to unlock the gate farther in (after defeating Moreau) and the gate was sealed shut. If you already progress past this section then you’ll need to get the treasure on a second playthrough, unfortunately.
How to Defeat the Undead Mini-Boss
Now that you have the slab, make your way back to the graveyard. I recommend stopping at the Duke to sell Angie and pick up some sniper rounds and meds. Once you have what you need, go back towards the estate and head to the tomb by the elevator. Before you reach the tomb, a massive undead giant wielding a hammer will jump down. This foe does a lot of damage at close range, so sit up on the hill and shoot him with sniper rounds. His head is pretty easy to hit given how slow this enemy moves.
You can also place a mine along the path leading up the hill you’re on to deal extra damage if it gets too close. For those that don’t kill the giant before it closes the gap, quickly run past it towards the tomb. It will have summoned some lesser zombies, so equip your shotgun and quickly take care of them. Go to the other side of the circular arena and keep peppering it with sniper bullets until this beast falls over. After everything has been killed, approach the tomb and use the missing slab in your Key Items menu. This will open the tomb and give you the Beneviento Chalice. This, plus the crystalized axe dropped by the mini-boss sells for a combined total of 48,000 Lei!
