COD: Warzone MP5 Loadout Guide - Best Loadout for the MP5

There are a lot of weapons to choose from in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Warzone game, but when it comes to close quarters fight few are as strong as the MP5. There are a lot of weapons in the SMG archetype, which can make it difficult to pick which gun you’ll bring into this battle royale mode. Even though many users prefer the MP7, players shouldn’t sleep on the MP5 as it absolutely dominates when it comes to close-quarters fighting. So if you like to play aggressive and get in people’s faces then this submachine gun is for you.

Here is the best loadout for the MP5 in Call of Duty: Warzone and what attachments you should use.

Why The MP5?

The MP5 is a remarkably consistent submachine gun thanks to its predictable recoil pattern, decent range for its archetype, and high rate of fire. It can decimate anyone foolish enough to step in front of you, especially if you’re within a 5-15 meter range. This makes it ideal for pushing an opponent’s position or clearing buildings filled with enemies. However, you will absolutely want to pair it with an assault or sniper rifle to ensure you can engage enemies at a distance. With the right build, you use the MP5 as a great tool to either finish off enemies or as a back up when your magazine is emptied.

Best MP5 Attachments

  • Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
  • Stock – FTAC Collapsible / Classic Straight-line Stock
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
  • Ammunition  45 Round Mag
  • Underbarrel – Ranger Foregrip
  • Laser – Tac Laser (Optional)
  • Perk – No Perk
  • Barrel – No Changes
  • Optic – No Changes

Surprisingly literally no one who plays Warzone, we will be using the Monolithic Suppressor on our MP5. This not only gives it a boost to accuracy, but also a slight bump to our range stat. It has the added benefit of keeping us off the radar when we fire, which is crucial for clearing buildings or claustrophobic points of interest like Superstore. We’re also using the Tac Laser to give us faster ADS (Aim Down Sights) speed, stability, and control when moving, but this optional. The laser offers a ton of benefits, especially since the only downside is your foes can see the laser.

We aren’t adding an optic since the iron sights for the MP5 are quite good and you won’t really need a scope since you’re typically fighting an enemy at point-blank. The stock is where personal preference will come in, as both the FTAC Collapsible and Classic Straight-line are viable choices. The former gives us faster ADS and movement speed, while the latter allows for better recoil control. Personally, I like the FTAC Collapsible since the increased recoil doesn’t matter that much when you’re fighting someone super close.

More Call of Duty: Warzone

Stippled Grip Tape is back and continues to be best in slot, while the 45 Round Magazine gives us more rounds to tear through someone’s armor. This attachment is non-negotiable since you’ll need all the bullets to properly kill someone without reloading. Finally, we are adding the Ranger Foregrip for added Recoil Control and Aim Stability.

As for your perks, I like to use E.O.D. to protect myself from explosives, Ghost to stay off enemy UAVs, and Amped so I can swap to my SMG faster. You can also use Overkill instead of Ghost if you don’t have a good ranged weapon or if you want to combine the MP5 with a Riot Shield to become the ultimate Warzone building breacher. There’s some flexibility in the Perks, so make sure to experiment and pick ones that suit both your playstyle and team’s needs.
