Chiori is a 5-star Geo Sword character in Genshin Impact 4.5 who is best built as a Sub-DPS! See her recommended weapons and artifacts and materials this character in this guide!
Chiori occupies a similar niche to Albedo, but the underlying mechanics of their kits are different. It seems that Chiori deals more damage than Albedo even with a single doll active from her Skill. Further testing is needed to determine their exact relative value.
Chiori’s primary playstyle is similar to Albedo’s, where she deals the majority of her damage from off-field via her Skill. While Chiori has a Geo Infusion, her Normal Attacks are very lackluster before C6. She can use her Burst when available, but even then, she remains primarily off-field.
In general, Chiori uses her Skill before the on-field DPS takes extended field time to deal damage. She swaps in, uses her Skill, and then swaps to the next party member by casting her Skill again. Chiori’s “Tamoto” doll turret damage doesn’t snapshot, so most buffs cannot cover all of her hits.
Chiori’s C6 opens up the possibility for an on-field or quickswap DPS playstyle. Stay tuned for Chiori’s Extended Guide for more information on her C6 possibilities!
For talents you want to prioritize:
- Fluttering Hasode (Elemental Skill)
- Hiyoku: Twin Blades (Elemental Burst)
- Weaving Blade (Normal Attack)
Husk Of Opulent Dreams increases DEF and Geo DMG Bonus greatly. This has the highest DMG among Artifacts for Albedo and Chiori as of the current patch. Golden Troupe is also a good option for increasing Skill DMG. You can opt to use DEF% Goblet when using Golden Troupe since it provides high amount of Elemental Skill Damage.
- Husk of Opulent Dreams (4-Piece)
- Golden Troupe (4-Piece)
- Husk of Opulent Dreams (2-Piece), Golden Troupe (2-Piece), or Archaic Petra (2-Piece)
For attributes you want:
- DEF % on Sands
- Geo DMG Bonus % on Goblet
- CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on Circlet
Sub stat priority is Crit Rate > CRIT DMG > DEF % > Energy Recharge.
We do, however, recommend you have at least 100%-130% Energy Recharge at a minimum.
Defense Weapons are recommended when using Chiori. If you do not have a weapon available, you can also opt to use CRIT Weapons or Elemental Skill buffing.
- Uraku Misugiri (CRIT DMG%)
- Cinnabar Spindle (DEF%)
- Cinnabar Spindle (CRIT Rate%)
If you don't have the optimal weapons, these are solid options as well.
- Harbinger of Dawn (CRIT DMG %)
- Festering Desire (Energy Recharge %)
- Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (Energy Recharge %)
There are four different types of teams we recommend for Chiori.
- Mono Geo Teams
- Ninguang-Chiori Teams
- Navia-Chori Teams
- Double Geo Off-Field Core
You can find example team compositions below.
