Lumitoile Farming Routes - All 79 Locations, Mapped

What you need to know about Lumitoile for easy grinding.

Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of playing Genshin Impact is the anticipation and excitement of wishing for a new character. Although the farming process required may lack the same excitement, it is a necessary step to fully realize the potential of your latest character acquisition. This guide is designed to make the grind less tedious, more streamlined, and efficient. For those in search of Lumitoile, here's everything you need to know:

WHAT ARE LUMITOILE?

Quoting from the game’s Item description:

A soft-bodied animal that emits a gentle light. Often found climbing the walls of buildings near the water or underwater.

They are prevalent in the Liffey Region and located along the shore as well as underwater.

WHO USES THEM?

As of now, Neuvillette is the only character that needs Lumitoile for his Ascensions, for a total of 168 required (Level 1 to 90). You can refer to Neuvillette’s Materials Guide to check everything you need for him.

 BEST FARMING TEAM COMPS

Each Character comes with a variety of Skills that adds to the team. Utilizing Passive Talents and Elemental Resonances can significantly ease your grinding process, so it's beneficial to leverage these features and craft team compositions that simplify your tasks. (Note that same passive talents effects Do Not Stack).

Here are some examples:

RESOURCES TALENT

Lyney's "Trivial Observations" displays all resources unique to Fontaine on the game's mini-map, which are necessary for character ascension and talent materials.

The passive Talent, when visualized in the mini-map, looks like as a small hand icon which symbolizes the presence of a harvestable material nearby.

LUMITOILE FARMING ROUTES

Lumitoile respawn every 48 Hours and, aside from the 79 available to harvest in the map, there is no seller for them as of patch 4.5. You'll need 168 Lumitoiles, which equates to three days of farming unless you have the opportunity to join a friend or another player in their world to gather what you need.

NEW FONTAINE RESEARCH INSTITUTE AREA
(0 - 24)

Starting from the underwater Teleport nearby, you can swim your way to the coast and farm the shore towards the New Fontaine Research Institute. There is a total of 24 Lumitoile along this route.

MONT ESUS EAST
(25 - 54)

SUBMERGED STONY PATH
(55 - 68)

While on land we have the area called New Fontaine Research Institute, the corresponding underwater one is the Submerged Stony Path which is home to 14 Lumitoile. The route is a big loop that starts from the Teleport Waypoint, dips south to climb back up and head north-east, finally heading back west, not far from the starting point.

(TOP) LIFFEY REGION (69 - 74) ~
 (BOTTOM) CENTRAL LABORATORY RUINS (75 - 79)

The areas are quite smaller and easy to navigate especially since they travel mostly on land and along the coast.  Between both paths you can collect a total of 11 Lumitoile.
