Besides making seasonal events based on other Square Enix titles, such as Final Fantasy XVI or Dragon Quest, players can constantly participate in events where the world of FFXIV receives unexpected visitors. Like in the previous editions, the Yo-Kai Watch creatures come to Eorzea, and you team up with them to complete certain activities. Doing so gives you the chance to claim special and unique rewards.

In case you’re interested in going for all the Yo-kai Watch rewards, there are a few steps that you need to go through. You need different types of currencies to exchange for each type of reward, although most of them involve participating in FATEs. Not every region in the game has FATEs that will give you special currencies, so be sure to check our other Yo-kai Watch FFXIV event guide with all the details as well as an explanation of how to start participating in the event.

Before you can get your hands on weapons, mounts, and the Framer’s Kit, first you need to get at least one Yo-kai Watch minion. Once you have visited The Gold Saucer and talked to The Wandering Executive NPC to begin the event, you need to equip the Yo-kai Watch and participate in FATEs to earn Yo-kai Medals, which you exchange for the minions.

To get the Yo-kai Watch weapons, the process is fairly similar to the previous one. You need 10 Legendary Yo-kai Medals to get a weapon. To earn these medals, you need to participate in FATEs while accompanied by the minion associated with the weapon you want. Once the FATE is over, a “Medal Acquisition” message might pop up showing the type of medal you earned. If you’re followed by the Komasan minion, you earn the Legendary Komasan Medal, for example.

To get the Yo-kai Watch mounts in FFXIV, you need to focus on collecting all the Yo-kai Watch weapons and minions. For the Whisper-go mount, you need to have unlocked 13 Yo-kai minions, which gives you the "You Must Needs Befriend Them All" achievement. Once you have all the weapons, you complete the "More Inventory Slots, Please I" achievement and get the Whisper A-go-go mount. The last Yo-kai Watch mount you can get during the event is the Jibanyan Couch. Getting this one requires that you purchase all 17 Yo-kai weapons. Doing so, gives you the "More Inventory Slots, Please II" achievement. By accessing the Achievement menu, you can claim the three mount keys from their respective achievements.

In this year's edition of the event, the Yo-kai Watch framer’s kit has been added as one of the rewards. To include this one in your collection, you need to have enough MGP and all Yo-kai Watch minions. Farm Yo-kai Medals and exchange them for the 17 minion. With all of them unlocked, you can talk to Nohi at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2 Y:6.9) to buy the Yo-kai Watch framer’s kit with MGP.
