How to Get Island Coral in FFXIV's Island Sanctuary

Fill your cowrie coin purses by corralling Island Coral

The Island Sanctuary is a new form of side content built with the casual playerbase of Final Fantasy XIV in mind, allowing them to develop their own ideal island destination by gathering exotic materials, crafting unique items, and building stunning facilities and landmarks. Since it's not required for many recipes, Island Coral might not be high on your list of items to gather, but it's use in handiworks like Isleworks Silver Ear Cuffs can make it crucial to optimizing your Island Workshop schedule.

Keeping your Island Workshop running at peak performance is an excellent way to quickly level up your island while providing you with currency to unlock exclusive rewards and lucrative items that can be sold for profit. Players not already taking advantage of this gil generator can start by unlocking their own Island Sanctuary.

Where to find Island Coral

In order to collect Island Coral, you'll have to enter Gather mode and look for Coral Formation gathering nodes submerged around the island. You don't need any tools to gather from these nodes, so any player can begin building up their supply of coral, even if they've only just started on their island.

Island Coral can only be found in one location off the coast of the Coral Sands, also listed within your in-game Sanctuary Gathering Log. If you've arrived at this area and don't see any coral formations, don't forget to dive underwater and activate Gather mode to access the nodes. Players looking to specifically farm Island Coral will have to gather from some of the Seaweed Tangle nodes located here to respawn the Coral Formations, as there are only eight available.
