Unsung Armor of Abyssos is one of several different types of raid relics, or tokens, used to purchase Item Level 610 Purgatory armor in FFXIV. You can exchange four pieces of unsung armor for one piece of wearable chest armor. Simply speak to either the NPC Mylenie in Labyrinthos (X: 8.3, Y: 27.6) or Djole in Radz-at-Han (X: 10.3, Y: 9.6) after aquiring the necessary tokens.
Because Unsung Armor of Abyssos must be traded in a set of four, you can acquire this type of relic for all four levels of the Abyssos raid. Said levels are as follows:
- Abyssos: The Fifth Circle
- Abyssos: The Sixth Circle
- Abyssos: The Seventh Circle
- Abyssos: The Eighth Circle
Note that these token drops are still limited to one per raid level per week for the current-highest tier of raid. In other words, players must first roll Need or Greed on the armor (or any other item from the loot pool). Then, if you win a particular gear token, you cannot claim any other tokens from that section until the weekly reset on Tuesday.
For example, claiming a piece of Unsung Armor of Abyssos from Abyssos: The Eighth Circle will lock you out of further pairs of and all other gear items from The Sixth Circle until the next weekly reset. You may still get gear from the other three circles. Provided you haven’t already claimed the weekly token from them, of course.
Thus, FFXIV players are limited to four total tokens per new tier of Normal Raid per week. You must choose which armor to prioritize as a result. Because four pieces of unsung armor are needed to purchase a single chest piece, this means you can only receive one piece of Purgatory gear for the week if you choose to buy it (as opposed to gloves, accessories, or boots).
