Ubisoft has already announced most of its showcase at its Ubisoft Forward stream as part of E3 and Summer Game Fest. But there were a few mentions of “surprises” that would be coming out of the presentation as well. Well, now we know one thing that’s not among them: the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.
In a post on the series’ social channels, the team behind the upcoming remake addressed fans about the project’s absence with a statement saying the game is on track to launch next year, but the developer isn’t ready to show it again just yet.
Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and we wanted to use this time to thank you for the amount of support you have shown us in the past year.
As you might have already read, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet. We will share an update as soon as we are ready.
Until then, we wanted to express our appreciation for your continuous support, as well as your patience with us on our journey. We’re looking forward to the moment when we will be able to share more with you!

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was about a month away from launch when Ubisoft delayed it in February. The game didn’t have a release window following the delay, but now we know it seems to have been pushed all the way into 2022.
