Teamfight Tactics Champions List - Kai'Sa Release

While there are 144 champions in League of Legends, not all of them have made the jump to Teamfight Tactics. In fact, there are only 56 Teamfight Tactics champions available right now. Our Teamfight Tactics champion list has all of the ones currently in game along with their origin, class, and abilities. We also have some information on how Riot Games plans to add more champions.

When Will Riot Add More Champions?

Soon! Riot has said it will be adding one or two champions to the game every patch or two. It’ll keep doing this until the game has around ten more champions than it launched with. At some point after this, Riot will switch to a more aggressive release schedule with sets of champions.

Riot even says it will add new champions to Teamfight Tactics based off of champion skins!

For example, Yasuo appears in the first set as an Exile Blademaster, casting Steel Tempest in his base skin. In a later set, he could return as an Odyssey Reaver, casting Wind Wall with the skin to match.

Tier 1 Teamfight Tactics Champions

The Tier 1 champions are important because the early game really decides who gets rolling. Plus, it’s super easy to actually get these folks leveled up to two and three star units which can really form the foundation of your team.

Camille (Hextech Blademaster) – Camille roots and damages her current auto-attack target. Camille’s abilities that can attack that target will switch their current target to do so.

Darius (Imperial Knight) – Darius swings his axe, damaging nearby enemies and healing himself based off enemies hit.

Elise (Demon Shapeshifter) – Elise summons Spiderlings and transforms, gaining Lifesteal.

Fiora (Noble Blademaster) – Fiora becomes immune to damage and spells. After a short delay, she stuns and damages the closest enemy.

Garen (Noble Knight) – Garen spins his sword, becoming immune to ability damage and dealing damage to nearby enemies.

Graves (Pirate Gunslinger) – Graves’ attacks deal increased damage and splash to nearby enemies.

Mordekaiser (Phantom Knight) – Mordekaiser slams his mace in front of him, dealing damage to two enemies in a line.

Vayne (Noble Ranger) – Vayne deals bonus true damage every third attack based on the enemy’s maximum health.

Tier 2 Teamfight Tactics Champions

Tier 2 champions function similarly to Tier 1 units. You’ll need to level them up if you want them to stick around.

Blitzcrank (Robot Brawler) – Blitzcrank pulls the furthest enemy to him and knocks them up.

Braum (Glacial Guardian) – Braum creates a barrier that blocks a percent of incoming damage.

Jayce (Hextech Shapeshifter) – Jayce knocks back his target then changes to ranged, gaining max attack speed for a few attacks.

Kassadin (Void Sorcerer) – Kassadin’s attacks steal mana from enemies, converting it into a shield.

Kha’Zix (Void Assassin) – Kha’Zix slashes the closest enemy, dealing bonus damage to enemies that are alone.

Lissandra (Glacial Elementalist) – Lissandra encases the target in ice, damaging and slowing nearby enemies. Below half health, Lissandra instead encases herself, becoming untargetable.

Lucian (Noble Gunslinger) – Lucian dashes away to safety and attacks an enemy twice, once with attack damage and once with ability power.

Lulu (Yordle Sorcerer) – Lulu grants an ally bonus health, knocking up enemies near them.

Nidalee (Wild Shapeshifter) – Nidalee heals herself and the weakest ally, then transforms, gaining Attack Damage.

Pyke (Pirate Assassin) – Pyke dashes behind the furthest enemy, creating an afterimage that stuns enemies it passes through.

Shen (Ninja Blademaster) – Shen creates a zone around himself, allowing allies inside to dodge all attacks.

Tristana (Yordle Gunslinger) – Tristana places a bomb on her current target that detonates after several attacks, damaging nearby enemies.

Varus (Demon Ranger) – Varus charges and fires an arrow, dealing damage to all enemies in a line.

Warwick (Wild Brawler) – Warwick pounces onto the lowest health enemy, stunning and damaging them while healing himself.

Zed (Ninjas Assassin) – Zed throws a shuriken, dealing damage to enemies in a line.

Tier 3 Teamfight Tactics Champions

Now that you’ve got some strong early game, you’re going to want to get some complimentary units. Tier 3 champions are strong enough that they don’t need to be three stars to work. Just a one or two star Tier 3 champion can do some work!

Aatrox (Demon Blademaster) – Aatrox cleaves the area in front of him, dealing damage to enemies inside it.

Ahri (Wild Sorcerer) – Ahri fires an orb in a line that returns to her, damaging enemies it passes through.

Ashe (Glacial Ranger) – Ashe fires an arrow that stuns and damages the first enemy hit. The stun is longer the further the enemy.

Evelynn (Demon Assassin) – Evelynn deals damage to the three closest enemies and teleports away. Damage is increased against low health enemies.

Gangplank (Pirate Blademaster) – Gangplank periodically creates barrels. On cast, Gangplank detonates the barrels, damaging nearby enemies.

Katarina (Imperial Assassin) – Katarina channels and fires daggers at a number of nearby enemies, dealing damage and reducing their healing.

Kennen (Ninja Yordle Elementalist) – Kennen summons a storm around him, dealing damage and stunning enemies inside of it.

Morgana (Demon Sorcerer) – Morgana fires chains to nearby enemies, dealing damage. If those enemies are still nearby after a short delay, she stuns them and deals damage again.

Poppy (Yordle Knight) – Poppy swings her hammer, damaging and knocking up the closest enemy.

Rengar (Wild Assassin) – Rengar leaps to the weakest enemy and stabs them for bonus damage. After dealing damage, Rengar gains attack speed and critical strike chance.

Rek’Sai (Void Brawler) – Rek’Sai burrows for a short duration, becoming untargetable and healing herself. When Rek’Sai unburrows, she deals damage and knocks up the closest enemy.

Shyvana (Dragon Shapeshifter) – Shyvana dashes and transforms, gaining Attack Damage and Attack Range. When transformed, her attacks set enemies on fire.

Vi (Hextech Brawler) – Vi targets the furthest enemy and launches towards them, knocking aside everyone else while knocking up and dealing damage on impact with her target.

Veigar (Yordle Sorcerer) – Veigar blasts an enemy with magical energy, dealing damage. This spell instantly kills them if they are a lower star level than Veigar.

Volibear (Glacial Brawler) – Volibear empowers his attacks to deal bonus damage that chains between enemies and applies on-hit effects

Tier 4 Teamfight Tactics Champions

Same situation as Tier 3 champions! Just find the right complements to your early game and you should do very well!

Akali (Ninja Assassin) – Akali throws shurikens in front of her, dealing damage. This ability can critically strike.

Aurelion Sol (Dragon Sorcerer) – Aurelion Sol breathes a large blast of fire in a line, dealing damage to enemies.

Brand (Demon Elementalist) – Brand launches a bouncing fireball, damaging enemies hit.

Cho’Gath (Void Brawler) – Cho’Gath ruptures an area, stunning and damaging enemies inside of it.

Draven (Imperial Blademaster) – Draven throws a spinning axe on his next attack, dealing bonus damage. If Draven catches it, he automatically readies another Spinning Axe. Draven can have multiple Spinning Axes at once.

Gnar (Wild Yordle Shapeshifter) – Gnar transforms, gaining health and attack damage, and jumps behind the furthest enemy, damaging and shoving enemies backwards.

Jinx (Hextech Gunslinger) – Jinx gets more excited as she scores takedowns. After her first, she gains attacked speed. After her second, she pulls out Fishbones for AoE damage on Autos.

Kindred (Phantom Ranger) – Kindred creates a zone around herself that prevents allies from dying.

Leona (Noble Guardian) – Leona calls down a solar ray that damages and slows enemies inside it. The enemy in the center is stunned.

Sejuani (Glacial Knight) – Sejuani creates a large glacial storm, stunning enemies within it after a short delay.

Tier 5 Teamfight Tactics Champions

Honestly, these champions are available too late in the game to make too much of a difference right now. Grab one if you want but they won’t just win you the game outright.

Anivia (Glacial Elementalist) – Anivia channels a large hailstorm, damaging and slowing the attack speed of enemies inside of it.

Kai’Sa (Void Assassin Ranger) – Kai’Sa dashes to the furthest enemy unit, shielding herself and gaining attack speed.

Karthus (Phantom Sorcerer) – Karthus deals damage to a number of random enemies after a long channel.

Kayle (Noble Knight) – Kayle shields the weakest ally, making them immune to damage.

Miss Fortune (Pirate Gunslinger) – Miss Fortune channels and fires several waves of bullets, damaging enemies in a cone.

Swain (Demon Imperial Shapeshifter) – Swain transforms, draining health from all nearby enemies. At the end of his transformation, Swain sends out a burst of energy dealing damage to nearby enemies.

Yasuo (Exile Blademaster) – Yasuo stabs forward, damaging two enemies in a line. On the third cast, Yasuo instead launches a tornado, dealing damage and knocking up enemies in a line.
